"But you wish I was for the suffering you endured on the other side." He stated casually without concern in his voice after what she told him.
"Actually no, I just wished you got some kind of pain. We both have changed over the centuries dear Kol, now how are you even back?" She asked casually, eyeing his stature.
Nice To Meet You | | Bonnie and Tatia
She stiffened at the unfamiliar touch of the original Petrova, unsure how to respond and in all honesty, whether to trust someone with such a face. Even Elena had her off days. But regardless of who was saying them, Tatia’s words made the witch’s eyes well up with unwanted tears. “T-thank you. For saying that. I needed to hear it." Clearing her throat, she continued. “You’re human then? Just a plain old human who’s gonna grow old like the rest of us?" Bonnie blinked in surprise but smiled a little. “Wow."
Tatia watched Bonnie and smiled weakly as she looked towards her. She was being caring, Bonnie had lost so much through her life and needed some kind of care towards someone. "I could tell. I am not like my dopplegangers, true I can be like them but I am not. Yes, I am going to grow old, live out a normal human life."
Serenity/Serena Petrova | 2,000+ | Vampire Lacey Reed | 2,000+ | Witch Florence Merch | 2,000+ |…
Mouth agape Vivienne felt as though she was grasping for air. Air to go into her lungs which had been deprived. Many a time over the centuries she had dreamed of having Tatiana by her side. Having her precious sister causing a raucous through towns and ripping them to shreds as she saw fit. She imagined Tatiana with the same primitive fangs that graced her own image. Being a Vampire may have had its downsides but for the most part Vivienne would not have changed it for a thing. She reveled in the strength, in the thirst that burnt the back of her throat, in the delectable taste of the crimson liquid that relieved such nagging cravings. Such hunger. That was who she was now. A vampire. A murderer. A monster. { I m m o r t a l I t y was never meant to be e a s y. } Although Vivienne loved her status as a bloodsucker she would never even think of condemning her sister to such a horrible fate. Not after all that she had endured. Being cursed, having her blood fed to those she loved and cared for, Tatiana deserved nothing but peace. Taking a step backward from her sister Vivienne began to pace – heels clicking on the pavements below. It was almost as if she had blocked out everything else that Tatiana had said and focused on the one sole desire that her sister had. “No.” Her tone was flat. She did not know if the part of her that was angry dominated the part of her that just refused to make her sister a monster. “I have my reservations about your return and the conditions of it. But you know me better than anyone else, Tatiana. And you knew that I would feel this way. I would have felt this way if I were still human. Regardless of such questions, I cannot force you into an eternity of self-loathing and brooding. I do not regret my decision to turn into a vampire because I clutched to the hope that one day I would see you again. I envisioned you alongside me – reveling in all the darkness of a vampire. But I cannot do such a thing. I let down many when I did not save you. Mama would want me to make sure that I did not screw up my second chance with you. My last chance. If that is not reason enough then I do not know what is. I will show you the people that I deem allies, but turning you into a vampire is not going to happen. Not now. I am sorry if that is not what you wanted to hear, sister. I would rather that this topic be laid to rest, for the time being at any rate. Let me rejoice in your presence not question it.”
Tatia had not wanted to hear those words from her twins mouth. She didn't want to die ever again. She didn't want this to happen. All she wanted was to live forever with the only person she was truly herself with. She hated the brimming of tears that burned her eyes and she wiped them furiously and sighed. She hated this. Her stomach felt like it was performing somersaults for a crowd of thousands. It churned as she huffed back everything she needed to keep back.
{ take back e v e r y t h i n g you learned
and s t a y}
She did wish her sister would say that she should be a vampire. To relish in it. The kill, the fight for it all. But it seemed, Vivienne did not want that for her sister. Even bringing their mother into it was far enough for the Petrova. She couldn't find anything to rest against. She needed to come back with some clever remark, so a snide look, but all Tatia had was tears and a whimper of "why?" Her voice breaking as she whispered out. But she kept her mouth shut. "I don't want to die again." Was all she was able to get out.
The mind of the olive skinned girl filled with the remembering of the metal sliding into her stomach. The thought twisted her as she looked at Vivienne with daggers. Her eyes narrowed into slits as she kept her breathing even. "I don't want to die again." She repeated, with more attitude and strength behind her lousy words. "Vivienne this is not the last time we will talk about this. I don't want to leave you behind ever again. You aren't forcing me, I am forcing myself into the world that I want to dive myself into. But this is your opinion and I respect it." She put on a fake smile and nodded towards her sister. "I forgive you and see your side of the story. But it is not the last chance sister. Let us rejoice though. Let me see where you found happiness mother would be beaming down on you for." She smiled as she rubbed the shoulder of her sister.

Caroline looked at Tatia. “Yes, you’re right. And being depressed is never good. I like being happy," Caroline said. Because as all of her friends knew, most of the time she was happy and bubbly. And she liked it. “But depression kills me," she said and sighed.
"Depression kills us all Caroline. It is never good. I am glad you are listening to me. Happiness is bliss. Hold onto it, cherish it." Tatia gave her a few words of advice. And took her own advice herself.

Caroline smiled. “Yes, it’s hard. Although I actually like being super excited," Caroline said. Most people thought she’s bubbly all the time. “But thank you for being here for me, for helping me," Caroline said with a slight smile.
"Well yes but to much of being super happy means when you are down you are even lower and we can't have that now can we dear Caroline?" Tatia spoke as she smiled back towards her new friend. "i will be here for you caroline until i am old and grey."

"I see" His eyes squinted slightly as he spoke. “Esther is paying for her misdeeds on the other side. As you very well know she tried to kill her own children..a second time. Terrible mother that woman was eh." He casually added. “I don’t care, but you should know that Tatia. We’re not the same as we use to be. I know I wasn’t always this way, but we do what we will to avoid how we truly feel.
Tatia nodded towards her old well friend she believed she could call Kol. He was a form of friend. More playful back when they were all human. And there were no vampires. "I believe she is but she placed a curse on me on the otherside as well. every vampire feed i felt the victim. i know you are not the same. i am not so stupid dear Kol."

"Tatia?" He furrowed his brows in confusion. “How are you alive?" He was sure Esther drained her of blood that night he and his siblings were turned.
"Qestiyah brought me back as Bonnie did her spell." She let a sly smirk curl at her upper lip as she looked towards Kol. "Your mother gutted me and look at you. I have been watching Kol. Care to be less ruthless?"
Vivienne was not quite sure what to believe. After having searched for Tatiana for such a long time it seemed somewhat too good to be true to have her back in the flesh. Wishing to return to the way things had once been between them. It seemed too…staged for Vivienne’s comfort. To be able to hold her or speak with her. It all seemed like a sham. Something did not sit right in her core. While she revelled in the presence of her sister she was not going to let her guard down. As Tatiana had said, they both had changed. Vivienne had grown to be an untrusting manipulator with a line of allies that had grown over her centuries upon the earth. As for Tatiana? Vivienne was yet to work out what had changed. What was a facade, and what was not. Being honest with her sister was all she could ever ask for but everyone had their secrets and Vivienne wanted to keep hers surreptitious. The last thing she needed was to have her sister stab her in the back – despite deserving every piece of it. Blood was blood. And betrayal stung more when the person behind the dagger was family. “We are merely having a slight disagreement sister, stop being so dramatic. I am not being harsh – I am being cautious. I have not spent a thousand years in hopes of this reunion only to have it ripped from beneath me. I am sure you can understand as much.” Vivienne told her rather matter of fact. There was no beating around the bush when you were talking to her. She was blunt, direct, to the point. Unless she was baiting something and in that case it was perfectly acceptable to beat around the bush. It was really dependant on her mood. “I disagree with your choice in whom you choose to favour. Let us leave it at that.” She grumbled. Hand raking through her ebony tresses, “You cannot stand there and tell me that is the whole reason for keeping me from your love. I am your sister, Tatiana. It hurt me to think that you did not think it appropriate for me to meet those you held close to your heart.” Vivienne would take Tatiana to her home. The place where there were people she knew, and loved, who she had made a connection with since the tragic loss of her sister. Now they would be able to meet the one she had gushed about so often. The one that they began to bore of. The Petrova sisters would rip up the floors of New Orleans like you wouldn’t believe. But she would keep a careful watch on her sister; make sure nothing suspicious occurred. “I did not think we needed to start being honest with one another. I have always been honest with you, always. But nonetheless I shall take you to New Orleans. I will take you to all the places that I love. Introduce you to the people I trust, who trust me, take you places that didn’t exist back when we were human.”
Tatia had watched over Vivienne for years, centuries. She understood why Vivienne would be distant but it didn't stop Tatia's human feelings getting in the way of their sisterhood. Tatia knew how Vivienne would be reacting to her reappearance. There was a lot to be afraid of, but Tatia was scared to. That she would lose her sister. That she would forever be alone until her human like died out and she would be dead for real. Old and grey in some retirement home with a lot of other old men and women complaining about how their children never come to visit them. Tatia knew that would be her one day. But if she wasn't close with Vivienne in the short time she had, then she would complain about never being close with her twin when they had so many chances.
"I have always been dramatic sister I am sorry. I understand your worry and fear. I can not die by supernatural causes. Cherish this moment sister. But I won't be ripped out from underneath you, because then we both lose." Tatia let her voice drop an octave as she looked at her sister carefully. She had missed her so much that all emotions from the past thousand years on the other side came soaring through and she wasn't being who she really was. "I didn't want you hurt. But let it slide sister. Just know I am truly sorry for keeping you away all those years ago." She spoke as she stepped back. Giving her twin the space she deserved.
She wanted to go to Vivienne's home. Where she had made connections with people, found a place where she belonged. Tatia was glad Vivienne had a social base. It was her dream to watch her sister find happiness somewhere and Tatia saw when she found it and she beamed. Now she could see them. "I kept you away from people. That is the only un-honesty on my part. Apart from that I have always been honest as well sister. I would love to meet your friends. Love to see where you have found a home, a place of happiness for yourself. I saw when you found your place. I was so happy for you sister. I couldn't stop smiling for a hundred years at least." Tatia had been holding up to something and before moving away she stopped her sister. "I don't want to be human. I don't want to grow old and grey in a retirement home. I want to be like you...a vampire."
All the while she had roamed this earth avoiding Klaus for she did not want to know his reaction to her existence. He would not believe her to have been Tatiana’s sister. He most likely would have killed her. For she had seen what Tatiana’s death had done to him. It had torn him apart from the inside out. He had loved Tatia with every ounce of his humanity and once she was gone it seemed as though his humanity was stripped from him at a moment’s notice. She could not blame him as she had felt exactly the same. She had lost every part of her that was appealing or attractive now she was just sour and uncouth. If their parents had been alive they would have been disappointed. They would have been disgraced. “I should hope not, sister. Though I would have called you such regardless of your wants. After all that is what I have always called you. I do not see why I should stop now.” She told her though her eyebrows shot up in surprise at the blunt disregard for the doppelganger. Katherine may have been many things but Vivienne could understand where she had come from. Elena whined and cried about her life when in actual fact it had been a bunch of cherries compared to Katherine’s shitty hand of cards. Don’t get her wrong. None of them took her fancy but if she were going to back up any of them it would have been Katherine. “Tatiana!” Vivienne gasped exasperated, though it was mostly a mockery, her lips curving into a malicious smile. “Some things really do never change, do they sister? I do not understand how you cannot care for one who is related to you though they are not your problem so I will not hold it against you. Besides, as long as you have my back I couldn’t care less about them.” She paused for a moment before turning her gaze away from her sister and nodding. “Yes, he is in New Orleans but I have been there for much longer than he has. And he still does not know of my existence. I figured that you did not tell him I was alive for a reason - so I decided that hiding from him would be the safest option.” She looked up from the stone she had been kicking for a few blocks and eyed her sister curiously, “Was I wrong?”
Tatia hated herself when she acted in such cruel and unthoughtful manners. She herself cared for the youngest doppleganger as she had felt the most pain in recent times. But she slightly cared for Katherine, but not enough to be shown towards anyone. She may have been a disappointment to her sister at that moment but she was something Tatia would keep secret. She knew that on the occasions, Nik would hurt her in more ways than one and she wished nothing more than for that never to happen to her.
"Don't act harsh on me sister. I get back and we cry but then we go to bickering. I just want kindness between us at this moment. I don't know what I could do to change it. I make no real feelings towards Katerina but I know it is of past mistakes and she followed what happened to me. I care for Elena because of family. I make quick decisions because I know of her ruthlessness. Felt every drop of blood that she drank out of her victims, but the same with the youngest doppleganger, I felt the same." Tatia looked up towards her sister as she shook her head slightly towards her. It may have been that Katherine had a tougher life, but she chose to deal with it by killing and torture, whereas Elena dealt with the life she got handed, which may have been easier in some aspects but in other aspects it was a hard deal. To lose all four of your parents, two guardians, a brother, friends.
"Don't act that way Vivienne. I didn't speak of you to Niklaus as it was to protect you. Niklaus may have loved me, but there was more pain then happiness between the two of us. Niklaus sought to kill people who were more than close to me at one point in time. Which is why I never spoke of you. I wanted you to be protected and live a normal happy human life. Nevertheless I am glad you are here and in fornt of me at this moment Vivienne. But I just want us to be happy. That is all I have ever wanted between the two of us." She spoke as she closed her eyes and shook her head lower. "I always will forever have your back dear sister. I would never not back you up on anything. May we go to New Orleans sister? The both of us, out in the open, no more secrets. Anything you think I've kept from you I will tell you, and visa versa." She looked up at her sister and smiled softly. "Please sister."
Vivienne had changed considerably since the last time she had come into contact with her sister. Though it seemed as though just as quickly as she had lost herself when her sister had died - she was capable of picking herself right back up again. Almost as if nothing had ever happened at all. As if Tatiana had not been dead for a thousand years. As the girl buried her head in the crook of her neck Vivienne rose her fingertips to lightly caress her hair in a comforting manner. Her lips curved into what could vaguely have been seen as a smile. Something that had not graced her features in a very long time. Trust her sister to be the one to bring it back. She felt as though all the hope she had held for so long had been worth it. That it had not been a lost cause. As many had told her. “I would never consider calling you anything but, sister.” She informed her while lightly wiping away the tears that had cascaded down her sister’s cheek. “I really do hope that these are tears of joy and not those of sadness. We are reunited once more. The treacherous duo brought back to life. The world had better watch itself.” She teased though as her sister mentioned the dagger that had been shoved into her abdomen - her nose wrinkled in revulsion. “When I said I was there I did not mean watching from the shadows sister. I was too late. I only saw the aftermath, the blood…the burning village. It was a right mess. I wish I would have arrived sooner, I really do. I will forever be apologetic for not saving you in time. But for right now I am going to cherish the moments we have together as if it were our last.” The thought of losing her again was too much to bear so she refused to think such vile thoughts. She linked her arm through her sisters and walked out into the parking lot. The need for alcohol had been wiped away completely. But for now she didn’t think leaving the town would benefit either of them. What with her elder doppelganger having just been given the cure. Vivienne despised Katherine but Tatiana was much kinder than she. Perhaps she would wish to offer her services in any way possible. Before the target on Katherine’s back became more life threatening. “There are so many places I wish for you to see. France, New York…and my home, New Orleans. Oh you will love it there, sister. You will absolutely love it. But first, what do you plan to do about Katherine?”
Tatia's eyes locked on her sisters. She had changed, her hair was in those of curls that fell down her lean back as ribbons. Tatia stretched out her hand to touch her sisters hair. The curls did not seem natural like they were as humans. They were different, almost like she was trying to be someone she was not. Vivienne, may have been her twin and sister, but she felt as if the girl she grew up with had almost left the world as she did. Replaced with almost a new girl in the same body with the same name. But then at times she saw softness in her eyes that reminded her of home.
"I do not want you to call me anything but either Vivienne." She smiled as she let out a soft chuckle that escaped her dry throat. "Only happiness my dear sister. This is a huge joy for myself and I believe for you as well. I don't know how vindictive I could end up being though sister. I used to be rude and we where a duo that made males fall to our feet. But in seeing and feeling the pain of the world I could not do that again I believe sister. I have always been to kind for my own good though." She smiled softly and looked out. There was a pinch in her throat. She could smell the blood. "Let's just get out of here." She spoke as she grabbed her hand and moved away from the place of where a vampire must have been feeding. "Esther did not like me. When close to a feeding vampire I feel it now sister. On the otherside I felt it from all over the world. A thousand years in pain and I just want to be happy with you now." The pinch left and the small amount of blood was gone from her throat.
Removing her hand she sighed and looked towards her sister. She linked her arms back with her sisters and walked through the parking lot as she smiled towards her. "Katherine is getting what she deserves. She killed Elena's brother, tormented people beyond people who didn't deserve it. Klaus can kill her I see no problem in leaving her to die. New Orleans is where Klaus resides now is it not?" She asked as she looked towards her sister.

She smiled, nodding at her. She had missed her, so much. And now that she was back, Bekah planned on never letting her go again. “You know that, now that you are back, I am going to hoard you. No one else gets you. Right?" She smiled, winking at her. “Seriously though, you have no idea, how much I just need a friend right now."
Tatia nodded as she looked towards her. "Bekah, I know more than you know. I have been by your side in tough times and now I am actually here. I don't plan on losing you. Not until I am staked because you will turn me. I promise."
A pulse - her precious Tatiana had a pulse. She could hear the soft thrum of her blood pulsating through her veins like live wires. While her inner monster wished to have a taste she was too in shock to even contemplate harming her sister. She would never hurt her. Ever. If she was really standing here that meant that she had been on the other side the whole time. Like Vivienne had thought. She knew that the woman before her would not have given up so easily. She would not have ‘moved on’ like people had been trying to tell her. For a thousand years Vivienne had been searching. She had been hoping that she would see her sister once more. Her sweet and caring sister. Elena very much reminded her of Tatiana and as she tried to befriend the doppelganger the more she realized that she had merely wanted the girl to be a substitute. But no-one could replace her sister. No-one could share the same bond. It was impossible. Lips parted and formed a small ‘o’ shape. She was elated with emotion; she just did not know how to deal with it. "My sweet Tatiana," Vivienne whispered. Moving from the door frame so that others could enter. They stared at the twins in confusion before leaving. They were alike in so many more ways that their looks. “I could say the very same to you. I thought you to be…. I saw the blood. Oh, Tatia. I am so sorry. I let you down. I should have come after you sooner. If I had then you would not have…d-" Vivienne could not bring herself to say the word. Instead she merely threw her arms around her sister as a tear cascaded down her cheek. “I missed you, so much."
Tatia's hand raced up to her throat, she herself could feel her heartbeat in her neck as she kept her eyes on her sister. She looked over her sister's form. She could see a difference in her sister. She knew that Viv was a vampire, but she never wanted to believe her sister would hurt her. She knew Vivienne wouldn't do that to her, they cared about each other all to much to hurt each other in such cruel and unthoughtful ways. Tatia had watched over her sister on the Otherside the whole time between now and her demise. She still remembered it as clear as day. The knife in her gut as Esther poured it out into a chalice for her sons and daughter to drink. Tatia's friends used her blood to turn them into unkind monsters who ruthlessly cascade the Earth with pain. She moved forward as she dropped her hand and placed it on Vivienne's shoulder, still shocked that she was solid and real. She was there, her sister was truly there. She couldn't help but mirror her with the softly open mouth.
Her lip quivered as her sister spoke to her. All the pain came rushing back. People passing by may have looked at them weirdly but Tatia didn't care at all about that. "Still using that name on me sweet Vivienne." She remembered that when the pair were younger only Viv would call her Tatiana. It was to prove how close the pair where. Tatia only spoke her full name when she was in pain, shocked or just happy to see her. "It's okay, you don't need to remember my demise sister. You saw it? I remember the pain of her dagger sister. It is okay I am here now. I never left your side sister." She rested her head in the crook of her sisters neck and whimpered softly as she herself has tears in her own eyes.
Breathing carefully she brought her arms around her sister's torso, grabbing her other hand as she cried along with her sister. Thinking about what a scene they could be causing she pulled away as she looked up to her sister and wiped her eyes before moving to wipe her sisters. "Let's get out of here. We can go wherever you want, you know this world better than I do. I have missed you so much sister. I refuse to leave you again. I am going to stay here for good. Be with you. Do the things we should have gotten to do back in the village."
"Better for you. You may darling."
"please do not call me darling."

She smirked, tossing a few darts at the board. Hearing her, she shrugged, grabbing the darts off the board, and returning to her previous spot. “It’s alright. If you get past the vampire population. Myself excluded, of course." She winked at her, before taking a moment. “I have needed a good night out, for a long time. You, love, have always had the most perfect timing."
"Depends on which vampires you want dead." She spoke swinging her legs back and forth, looking around the bar and chuckling. "You are a good one Bekah. Glad I was the one to take you out on a nice girls night. I always have had good timing now haven't I?" She spoke with a light chuckle.
