I'm starting this page to get into blogging, journaling, and self improvement. I'm studying art right now, and photography so I'm really hoping this will help me improve my skills and work on developing a theme

I hate living with somebody who's actively voting for a president who's taking away my rights. Like what do you mean you care about me when I might not have a chance to get an abortion, go to college, get married to somebody I love, vote, ect because you're too ignorant to do simple research.

starting a common place journal mini guide❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:･

-What's a common place book? A common place book is a journal that somebody takes with them on the go and uses throughout the day. Most people use theirs for collecting notes, sketching, like a planner, and for journaling throughout the day!

-Why should I start using a common place book? Common place books can help improve memory, help you create and form new ideas, help you organize your notes, and encourage you to pay attention to the small things throughout the day!

-So, what type of journal should I use for my common place book? An easy starting journal to use is a small or pocket sized one, easy to carry around in your bag! I also find that using a tiny journal helps me feel less preasured to fill a giant page, making me less anxious about journaling and more likely to use it.

-Ways to customize your common place book:

adding charms to your journal, on an elastic band to hold it together can add a lot of personality to your common place book!

adding a spot for a pen, washi tape, paper clips and wired ear buds!

Making a journal cover is a really easy DIY, if you make it with fabric you can incorporate embroidery, and with other materials you can use stickers, or stamps!

Other common place book uses: junk journaling, stamp or sticker books, collecting quotes, polaroid photo storage, note taking, tea bag labels, anything your heart desires!!

gloomy costal coquette mini guide🦪⋆.ೃ࿔*:･

imagine gloomy coquette mixed with costal influences࣪ ִֶָ☾.࣪࿐

Colors: grey, white, metallic silvers, navy and cadet blue

Scents: Cape cod wild beach rose, SURGE, rain shower leaf (untested scents, however all have notes of fresh air, costal or rain notes!)

Clothing: cozy sweaters, lace, sheer fabrics, camis, knit chunky socks, flowy babydoll tops and henleys. Think Bella Swan from twilight!

Makeup: minimal and cool toned is best! Use cool toned concealer, top and bottom mascara, and light blush. I would also recommend light brown eyeliner for emphasis and a little wing

Hair: think messy, beachy hair! I would recommend half up half downs, braids, messy buns, or hair left down, long to medium length hair, and using a beach wave spray to try and capture this!

Activities:

- lounging on a cliff side relaxing

- journaling in your bedroom

- reading classics

- walking around in the gloomy weather

- lounging in your bedroom letting cool air in through your window

-getting coffee or tea early in the morning

-listening to sad shoegaze in your bedroom, or mazzy star

-taking photos with a vintage camera

Jewelry: I'd recommend silver jewelry, thrifted or made locally! I think that minimalist jewelry with motifs like doves and seagulls or pearls really encapsulate this aesthetic!
