Quite literally everything I am
"I pursue the enemy voice that has ordered me to be sad. At times I feel that joy is a crime of high treason, and I am guilt of the privilege of being alive and free. Then it helps to remember what Chief Huillca said in Peru, speaking before the ruins. 'They came here. They even smashed the rocks. They wanted tot make us disappear. But they have not been able to, because we are alive, and that is the main thing. And I think that Huillca was right. To be alive: a small victory. To be alive, that is: to be capable of joy, despite the goodbyes and the crimes, so that exile will be a testimony to another, possible country. The task ahead--building our country--cannot be accomplished with bricks of shit. Will we be of any use if, when we return, we are broken? Joy takes more courage than grief. In the end, we are accustomed to grief."

"It does me good to eat at this table. I share the bread and the wine, the memories and the news, like in the old days, when communion gave heart to the believers."

Damn, rest in power, Assata Shakur. Glory to all the freedom fighters and political prisoners of this world.
What’s your skincare and makeup routine like? You’re so dreamy 🤍🌙✨
Thank you so much angel! 💫 For skincare, I focus on moisturizing and use Japanese products such as milky toners and hyaluronic acid serums. I use the Uriage Bariéderm-CICA cream on my face at night and in the morning (sometimes more if I'm home all day). I also regularly spray my face with hypochlorous acid (it's gentle and for sensitive skin but sounds scary) because it's antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and makes my skin so soft. Pure aloe vera gel is always my saviour when my skin is being sensitive and nothing else works, it literally never fails me. As for my makeup routine, I keep it light because it suits me best. I mainly use Korean makeup because it aligns with the natural look that I like. I love having blushing cheeks (in shades of pink, lilac, and berry) with glowing highlight. I use shimmering eyeshadow (champagne, silvers, peaches) with dark brown liner, I mostly use eyeshadow because it gives a softer, dreamier look--but sometimes I use a brown liquid liner. Of course I always try to make my lashes dark and long. For my lips, I use tints so it lasts longer or lightly dab lipsticks, I always blur the edges a bit because it looks more romantic. Thank you for your sweetness again <3~🌷🍒 ☁️
"His voice carried through the darkness and seemed to light a shining path through the night sky. Just his tone was enough to reassure me. It's because he loves me, I thought. And I love him. Simple. But instead of all the different things I wanted to say, I said, a little tipsily, 'Don't you think nights are so pretty, Tetsuo?' And instead of rolling his eyes, he said 'It's because the air's always clearer at night.' Then he took the roll of tape and left the room. His words slowly settled into my heart, leaving a sweet resonance behind them." – Banana Yoshimoto, The Premonition
"It was a brief interlude in the rainy season, and the stars were out. Although it was small, my new room had a balcony...I loved being in the open air, no matter the season...The brisk breeze felt good on my cheeks. I submerged myself in the sweet June chill all the way to the tips of my fingernails. The air I was breathing was so clear I thought I might drift off to sleep. Every last star was blinking. I was in two minds." -- Banana Yoshimoto, The Premonition
What are your thoughts on manifestation?
I think it’s real. I believe everything is an interconnected web of energy, flowing like an unseen current, and that it’s possible to shape, direct, align, or transform that energy into whatever form we choose. Thoughts aren’t passive, they hold energy too, and are very powerful in shaping your reality and what you attract into your life. All my life I’ve been visualizing what I want and believing that everything will always work out for me, and it always does, with perfect timing 💫
