Is anyone else instantly going into ⌗heebeegeebee mode now that we've actually arrived? Part of me wants to act completely calm and chilled about moving across CONTINENTS for my education, but the more star-dazzled, theatrical kiddo part inside of me, wants to scream internally and belt out 'Where Do You Belong?' (obvi the Grey Henson rendition because it is hashtag superior!). The insanely long flight may have sent me a little kookier than normal, yes, but STILL - this a huge deal and we shouldn't overlook that. I'm freaking out!

um, i'm lachie, born and bred here in the gc, and we are the champions by queen. but it's been a minute since i've hit up karaoke bars. try and sleep off the jet lag, no one is gonna judge you for having a nana nap.

g'day everyone! my name is blaine anderson, i'm a transfer student from ohio (and it looks like i'm not the only one) and i'm one of the newest additions to the local theatre kids. music and drama are my biggest passions — i've done a lot of community theatre in ohio, was one of the lead singers of my glee club there, i post covers and original songs on tiktok, play a few instruments and i'm hoping to make it big on broadway one day. it's probably no surprise that i'll be joining the glee club and the drama club here, as well as lgbtqia+ club, student council, the football team and the tennis team. i also love coffee, dancing, (watching) american football, going for a run, yoga, baking and, last but not least, a good party (but who doesn't?!). part of me still can't quite believe that i'll be living here on the other side of the globe, but i've always loved exploring new places and have been eager to get out of ohio, so i can't wait to fully dive into aussie culture! i've already bought a bunch of snacks to try at the airport, as well as a pair of thongs, even though i don't normally wear those that often. but when in rome, right? and i know, i know, those things aren't exactly the epitome of australian culture, but we've all gotta start somewhere. anyway, i think i've rambled enough. i can't wait to meet all of you, so please feel free to come and say hi. it's going to be a great year! go koala hall! 🐨
