it was rumoured that harmony's mother hired a private investigator for harmony, as a birthday gift, to keep yearly tabs on harmony's growing rise to fame. broadway chatrooms, online presence and general public perception were meticulously monitored by these investigators - and each year? an elaborate party was held for harmony to celebrate how each year was a stepping stone for her success.
there were never any doubts about harmony taking over the world. and harmony sure as hell was going to prove everyone correct for believing in her.
harmony's childhood was filled with opportunities for her name, face and brand to be in the spotlight. commercials, community theatre roles, performances, acting gigs - harmony had it all. and she loved it. that feeling of being on stage with a million eyes on you made harmony's heart swell in a way she could never even begin to describe. performing was her everything.
of course, her parents weren't naive - they knew their daughter needed that competitive streak and unique quality about her. as a child, harmony's quirks or unique qualities were embraced and cherished. every hobby, every interest or every idea was fully encouraged. this included harmony's obsession with writing poetry, or fluently speaking spanish by the age of 10. her high school journey took harmony to new heights, where she joined an orchestra and learned to play the piano, flute and saxophone within her sophomore year. her parents loved that harmony had so many different interests - they firmly instilled a belief in harmony that she needed to be a jack of all trades to stand out in modern society. her skills made her unique.
harmony would very much consider herself to be a 'theatre kid'. loud and proud. this meant her high school journey was rocky, to say the least, but harmony wouldn't have had it any other way. she wasn't popular, by any means, but she was FILLED with love from her tribe. she surrounded herself with likeminded individuals, especially ones with big ambitions. these were friendships that she absolutely cherished - they laughed together, wrote music together, cried together. they were a family.
as much as harmony adored her different hobbies, her one true love was performing on stage. the feeling of sharing a heart full of emotions with a captivated audience was all she ever wanted to do. this was when her sights became firmly set on the BEST college to aid her rise to stardom - nyada.
nyada would help her dreams come true. she was absolutely sure of it.
