I have NO idea why this bitch isn't famous yet. If I think about it too long I get angry. She's been murdering stages for nearly 10 years. There is literally no one like her. Her voice, her timing, her writing is fucking on point. Plus she knows how the fuck to dress. She always looks banging. Aaaand she shares my love of the nail game. She's my bitch FOR REAL, FOR REAL. Ya'll ain't ready 

Karinda Dobbins 

Karinda is no stranger to Ladies Love. We haven't seen her in a while because she's been on the road with W. Kamau Bell on the Oh Everything Tour. She's been slaying audiences from coast to coast and I'm fucking thrilled she's home in Oakland long enough to dazzle the Layover with her  razor sharp, insightful humor. 

Carla Clayy 

Carla Mutherfucking Clayy. I've been wanting to have Carla at Ladies Love since I started it two years ago. I finally gathered up the courage to ask her to do it this week. When she agreed. I did one of those weird '80s moves where you pump your fist and go "YEAH" at the same time. I absolutely cannot wait to unleash her on you guys.

I met Bri earlier this year on a visit to Portland. Former Bay Area resident, Amy Miller introduced us and I immediately fell in love. Amy helped me lure her out of Portland for a Bay Area visit. 

Watching Bri perform is like staring into the sun. You can't look directly at her because the brilliance is blinding. Her comedy is cleverly written, charming, honest and most importantly fucking funny. Her charisma is undeniable. I'm so excited to share her with you Oakland. You're going to love her.

2ND ANNIVERSARY SHOW - AUGUST 12, 2014

Hello darlings....

Ladies Love the Layover is turning 2! I can't believe we've had 2 amazing years of shows at the Layover. Feels like just yesterday that I took over the  monthly ladies night and turned it into a place for lovers. 

With help from our amazing sponsor Feelmore 510, we've managed to pack the house each and every month with comedy fans to love the shit out of. 

We are gonna celebrate our second year with an incredible line up of Ladies Love favorites....

Featuring the one and only MARGA GOMEZ 

Marga is my personal comedy lord and savior. She's provided me countless laughs, advice, love and so much more while I've developed over the last five years. She's absolutely one of the best working comics today. She's produced one-woman shows, including her most recent work Lovebirds which has run in SF, Santa Cruz and NYC. Without her, we'd all be nothing so Im thrilled to have her on our anniversary show. She'll be headlining the shit out of our show. 

Chris Burns 

In this picture, she may look like she's ready to sell you insurance but I assure you that's not the case. The only thing this bitch is selling is sass. I could listen to her talk all damn day because her voice is soothing. However be careful, she's one of those people that can get you to divulge your life story by asking you the RIGHT three questions. Her jokes and storytelling are incredible. She's one of my favorites and kills every time she joins us so come get witness the power that is Chris Burns. 

Natasha Muse 

What can I say about Natasha that's not already been said? She's beautiful. She's poised. She's a phenomenal mom. She's an unbelievable joke writer and pun crafter which is why she was named the best tranny comedian in SF in 2012 and a comic to watch in 2013 by SF Weekly.  This year she became a member of the renowned comedy enclave The Business. She also knows how to conjure rainbows, unicorns and turn rain into glitter. All of these things are true. 

Jane Harrison 

This gal is one of my favorite young women on the scene. She's a southern belle without all the flower print, hair spray and constant fanning. She's a phenomenal dancer and commonly refers to men as "Baby boy" which steals my heart every damn time. Her dry sarcasm, clever wit and southern charm are undeniable. Get you some. 

I'll be there too of course....hosting like a mutherfucker cause that's what I do.

Dhaya Lakshminaranyanan is cute as a button and sharp as a whip. Her intelligent and playful delivery charms audiences every time. 

Kimberly Rose Wendt  is one half of the producer duo Bitch Slap. She's focusing her efforts on a big time show in August featuring a few Ladies Love favs and me. Kim is a funny gal in her own right. Come watch her shine. 

Priya Prasad is one of the Bay Area's best. She's bold, she's beautiful and she's fucking funny. If she made shirts that read "Priya is my Homegirl" they would sell out instantly. 

Corie Gipson recently reminded me that about two years ago after a show at the San Jose Improv, my mom said to Corie, "Keep it up, you did great!" Corie heeded my mom's advise and now she's even greater. I'm so happy to have her back at the Layover. Hopefully she'll tell you all about the time she punched a bitch in the face. Oh and my mom is a prophet.

Rachel Scoot This young lady dropped in and watched the last few months of Ladies Love shows.  She's newish to the scene so I'm excited to see what she does.  

Smita Venkat introduced herself to me last month at Ladies Love and said she met Janine Brito in Tokyo and she recommended us. Janine Brito is one of the greatest human beings alive so I had to give Smita a set. 

And of course, I will be your host, Lydia Popovich guiding you through the glistening comedic waters on a hot summah night.

  Loren Kraut is a mutherfucking gangster and don't you ever, ever, EVER fucking forget that shit cuz. On the real, she's mad misunderstood. Fools think she some OCD lesbian but DON'T NOBODY KNOW what's really real cause on the real....bitch gets REAAAAL. 

Zahara Noorbakhsh  In addition to having stunningly long lashes Zahara Noorbakhsh has a name I just know is going to be fun to say loudly into a microphone. She's a clever, intelligent storyteller. Aren't you lucky you get to see her for free! 

Aly Jones When scouting around for new talent amongst my peers this young lady came up quite a few times so I figured we should invite her over to share the love. Love her won't you? 

Emily Van Dyke enjoys rubber duckies, lounging dudes and sunglasses in the pool. I applaud her. She seems like the kind of gal who really appreciates the importance of Summah. That goes a long way with me.
