Ok so I don’t know if you have noticed but into the spider verse does an AMAZING job at telling Gwen’s backstory in just a few minutes, now this does contain spoilers for Gwen’s backstory

In Gwen’s backstory scene you can see the shadow of her beating up Green Goblin right?

Now if you pay attention to the Green Goblin’s shadow you can see it turning into a man like this;

This is Peter Parker, in Gwen’s universe Peter Parker is her best friend and also the Green Goblin

You can even see the green blue scales left on his body after he is back to his normal state

And you can see the look of terror on Gwen’s face after she realizes what she has done, and they don’t even show her face

Then later when Peter meets MJ in the restaurant Gwen tells Peter that “it’s not your MJ, trust me I’ve been there”

She is directly talking about him, right in front of him, and he doesn’t even know it

Gwen goes through the entire movie having to look at Peter B. Parker and remember that she killed her Peter

And this concludes my essay for why Gwen is an underated character and y'all need to give her the respect she deserves

Yes, strikes are inconvenient, that is the point everyone, please, understand that no civil disobedience is going to be convenient for you. They’re literally meant to be a protracted inconvenience/form of economic warfare against the rich.

Strikes are for saying: “This is what it would be like without us.”

If that strike inconveniences you? That means those striking workers are fucking valuable.

Take the short-term inconvenience and support them in their demands, because if they’re important enough that a picket line troubles you, they’re important enough to command wages they find fair.

That message is primarily directed towards their employers, who like to treat them as valuable enough to need but not valuable enough to pay well, but it also applies to those customers and consumers who depend on their work. 

You need them? You should value them.

because the admission that he googled ‘how to talk to your bisexual friends’ is an admission that he doesn’t really know what the shit he’s doing, BUT HE TRIED and did the emotional labor on his own of looking for answers rather than relying on HER to provide all the answers

I’m going to be mad forever about the way they ended Merlin. So much of the plot hung on Arthur being the “once and future king” and nothing ever comes of it. He dies, and then there’s not even a hint of him coming back. All we get is a shot of Merlin in the present day STILL WAITING for Arthur to return, and not knowing if it will ever happen.

Astronauts aboard the International Space Station captured this dramatic image of Raikoke Volcano’s eruption in late June. This uninhabited Pacific Island is part of the Kuril Islands off mainland Russia. The hot plume of ash and volcanic gas rose until its density matched that of the surrounding air, at which point it could only expand horizontally. This is why the plume appears to have such a flat top. It’s similar to the cumulonimbus clouds we associate with severe thunderstorms.
