found a signed book in my house that I used to be obsessed with when I was 13. I don’t even remember what happened in the book anymore, but I very clearly remember loving it, how much it meant to me (for personal reasons, I have very warm and wholesome memories with the author where he personally spent his time with me, chat with me, remembered me by name, called me by my name from the crowd and bought me lunch; we met several times actually, and every time he remembered my name without me having to reintroduce myself). and all the memories I have when I was 13 come flooding back. not just about this specific book but about everything that was me when I was 13. school, life, friends, etc. everything just comes flooding back with it.

I’m re-reading the book for the first time again, without knowing/remembering what happens in the next page. and suddenly I’m back to being 13 again.

I know I already made a post to this effect but it's so baffling to me when someone defends the fact that headphone jacks are slowly but surely getting phased out by smartphone manufacturers with some variations of "wireless headphones are more convenient anyway" bc like. If we're talking about convenience what I like about wired headphones is that they conveniently have a single plug that makes the same damn pair of headphones universally compatible with every single audio-output-capable device I own, from my phone and my computer to my fucking gameboy and my casette player, it doesn't get any more convenient than that.
