Hey so money is really really tight for my family at the moment - the car needed shittons of work, we got ripped off by some twats doing the garden, and Iâm still struggling to find any kind of work that wouldnât destroy my already shitty health even further. (Spoiler alert: thereâs basically feck all of that!) Iâm applying for free medical care but that takes ages and meanwhile a lot of my money goes on expensive meds I need to (barely) function. I have hEDS and am autistic so thereâs vanishingly few jobs out there I can even consider being physically capable of.
I can do proof-reading & editing up to PhD level (humanities) and for people whose second language is English, in fact I need more hours of TEFL work so that I can actually register formally and work independently at it, and remote work counts towards those hours. I can also write stuff on commission & design cross-stitch patterns & probably some other shit I canât think of but will add on later. So my heating pad which I need for my chronic pain literally just fucking caught fire too!! Itâs like fifty to replace it with a decent one (Iâve replaced with cheapo ones before and they never last long and are prob more of a fire hazard). I canât use hot water bottles as anything other than a stopgap for extreme pain cos my EDS means I burn really easily from prolonged contact. There are so many other expenses too but this is fairly urgent as the weather gets damper & colder & my pain skyrockets.Â
Added to the stuff I listed above I will also do custom freehand/crossstitch work, I hate fecking begging for money so like. You want a cross-stitch portrait of Emma Goldman? Iâm yr bitch. (I actually am, Iâve got a pattern.)
