“Where as for the Swiss, the most  they’ve heard of battle is tall tales from their mother”

“Oh, that is quite easy to provide. I will give the orders to one of my ladies and soon they will look for you to give you those writing utensils you want.”

"I thank you for that, your majesty, normally it could wait but my lady mother has not heard from me since before the attack and by now I am sure word will have reached her and her husband”

“I like to think the French are smarter than their predecessors. The King and guards have prepared themselves for anything.”

“They do also have the benefit of learning from the past failures as well as any inherently better security”

A low chuckle escaped the man. “Then we can all consider ourselves lucky that the Swiss had no enemies but their own people.”

“Hopefully the French do not have similar insurgents at least if there are lets hope they’re unorganised, though any attempt here will likely fail”

“I would have hated to see what might have happened had it been a properly trained army, not a rebellion, against the Swiss.”

“I’m not sure we would’ be round to find out, everyone would’ve been lying dead in their beds before the Swiss worked out the walls where breached”

“You would think that since the Swiss had more time, they would be the ones better equipped.”

"They had the benefit of time but not the benefit of being battle tested”

“They’re probably just better equipped for coping with a crowd, I doubt the Swiss where and we suffered for it”
