"You, I assume, are the renowned slayer of daemons? If so, I've a job to offer you, though I warn you it's unlike any you've yet faced."
"You know... Everyone says that when they come to hire me." Dante said with a chuckle, "But it's rare for it to be true. You go the money to back your words?"
Luna smiled ruefully and nodded, producing from within a hidden pocket of her dress a pouch of gold coins. She wasn't sure gil was even used here, but, surely gold was gold, and spent the same everywhere?
"This time you'll find it quite true, however," she explained as she handed over the bag, "the daemons...if you're not careful, they can infect you with a parasitic disease which, providing it doesn't simply kill you outright, transforms you into one of them, all trace of humanity lost. I'm healing the afflicted as quickly as I can, but in the meantime I need someone to keep the daemons away from my patients whilst I work."
