My very first finished knit hat! Knit flat with yarn that went from dk to bulky. One skein! Very warm and will be a gift for a friend, fingers crossed they like it! I have two more skeins of this yarn in different colours.

First time ever blocking something I've knit and I'm honestly terrified!! The pattern is pretty much improv and to hopefully make a pocket to fit my new Kindle I bought for my birthday. 3x3 ribbing on the ends and just garter stitch for the body. I measured it with the Kindle just holding it up so I know with the stretch of blocking it'll definitely fit. I just need to seam up the sides which I've left myself plenty of tail on either end to do so. I also want to get a button and make a way to keep it closed but that's a later me problem
Progress shot of my blackwork cushion project with the Royal School of Needlework International Summer School.
It's a really fun project and has allowed me to practice a lot of buttonhole and heavy chain stitching (which I definitely needed).
