Painted a teeny little dapple grey, brought my new perlino boy out for a tack fitting, and sealed up an old Seabiscuit that I plan to take to Dad's grave this summer. Seabiscuit was his favorite, and it was the only horse film he would beg to watch with me over the years. Today is a year since he passed, so I'm thankful today for a day off and a slow afternoon spent enjoying the small things.

Sounds like Mom and I are definitely on board for. Ext year! I’m not sure what to make of this theme but I hope we see some therapy horses alongside the expected police and armed services equines. But really theme schmeme, I’m going to see friends!

Today I got started on organizing what WAS the spare room - soon to become the baby’s room. My *daughter’s* room 💖 I organized my custom minis so here they are, in all their tiny glory ✌🏻

I finished my double bridle for Breyerfest! I’ll add the reins once I get the chance.

The horse that went from scuffed up old Breyer, to spotless, to spot-full, to my Wildest Dreams. I love painting Appaloosa patterns although I’ve never done something quite like this, I couldn’t be happier. The entire project was going exactly as I hoped (that’s rare!) and so, I bravely guessed away with my first attempt at ermine spots! Everything was painted by hand with brushes and in the end this crazy color pattern seems to fit perfectly on a rip-snortin’ breyer mustang.

I DID IT!!! I finished my NaMoPaiMo horse in a time crunch but she’s done! Made me want to beat my head into a wall more than once but she was a lot of fun for my first model

I present my finished NaMoPaiMo project, Luna Rossa or the Blood Moon. She is a customized Breyer Rejoice model, new head and leg positions, brand new mane, tail, mare genitalia, hoof soles, and eyelids. She is painted to a dark fleabitten grey in earth pigments, acrylic, and prismacolor pencil.
