I have so many headcannons and ideas for Teen Titans (2003) Jinx it’s not even funny. So, here there are! Maybe I’ll write about one of these someday! Or draw it, if I’m really feeling motivated XD Please note that my knowledge of Titans and DC goes as far as watching Teen Titans (2003), Titans (2018), Teen Titans Go! (2013), and reading the Teen Titans 2003 comics, as well as the Raven DC comic.
She for sure had a bunch of animal OCs when she was younger.
If she was allowed the chance at a normal life, I imagine she would have been a freelance artist, or a teacher.
Even though Gizmo and Mammoth were assholes, she was an asshole too, and she thought of them like close brothers.
She, with the help of Kid Flash, unfroze the H.I.V.E Five, but she never told anyone that. She didn’t unfreeze any other villains though, and definitely spat on Madame Rouge’s frozen statue.
She was completely confused by Raven. Raven, by all means, was supposed to be evil in her mind. Dark powers, sometimes demonic, dark humor, dark colored outfit… If bad luck = being a villain to Jinx, then dark powers should = villain, yet Raven wasn’t. Jinx was incredibly frustrated by this, and a tiny part of her would always think “Well, if she isn’t evil, maybe I don’t have to be…”
She developed a small crush on Raven due to this too, but she absolutely refuses to admit that she has had a crush on three superheroes.
Much like Hot Spot, she can be calmed down by cute, fluffy little animals, although she won’t openly show it.
She has a talent of being able to know all the lyrics to songs from Gummy Bear, Moshi Monsters, Parry Gripp, etc., that isn’t so much a ‘talent’ and more that younger her was secretly obsessed with them.
It took her and Bumblebee awhile to get on good terms. She was one of the most loyal students after all, and hadn’t been the kindest to Bumblebee during her stay since Bumblebee quickly took her place as “teacher’s favorite”. There’s a begrudging respect from both sides, but the two still can’t be left in a room alone without a possible cat fight erupting. They’re even worse than Jinx and Raven, who become surprisingly good friends who enjoy teasing and making fun of each other.
She eventually views Beast Boy as a little brother. They both have been wronged by and hate the Brotherhood of Evil and rub surprisingly well off of each other. She, Kid Flash and Beast Boy make a terribly good trio of pranksters and should never be left alone to plot.
After she reforms, she, with encouragement from Kid Flash, ends up posting her art and fan works online and taking online commissions (probably on DeviantArt lol).
She ends up helping Cyborg train recruits, and even suggests a possible villain reformatory school.
She still holds affection for her old teammates, and even Kid Kold. She doesn’t want anything drastically bad to happen to them, but understands and is willing to beat them up for their crimes. After all, better her beating them up then someone else, right?
She was definitely viewed as “teacher’s pet” by her peers.
Her flaw her teachers told her when she first started off villainy was that she was “too nice”, “too merciful”. She worked hard to be a bitch because of it.
She started off as a secretly scared loner who put on a brave face, then moved onto being a duo with Leo (Kid Kold), then ditched him for the other star students, Gizmo and Mammoth.
She and Kyd Wykkyd were surprisingly good friends while in the H.I.V.E Academy. They didn’t talk (obviously) about much, but they often hung out together or were paired together.
See-More had a crush on her since forever, although Jinx surprisingly didn’t realize it. They two barely talked during the Academy, but See-More asked to join the Five when she created it.
She hated Billy Numerous and often went out of her way to hex him during the Academy. But Gizmo and Mammoth liked him, so they ended up hanging out a lot regardless.
She was on decent terms with Private H.I.V.E., and respected his soldier loyalty to the H.I.V.E.
She never really liked Brother Blood as much as the Headmistress.
She was very much a “people-pleaser” and would do anything to prove herself to her teachers.
People would often leave black cats and horseshoes in her dorms, among other “bad luck” items. She would destroy the horseshoes and anything else, but she would take care of the cats for a few days before she released them to the wild.
When the H.I.V.E crumbled after Cyborg and Bumblebee’s infiltration, she was lost and angry that something that was so important and major in her life was destroyed, but also left confused on what blurs the line between good and bad. ‘Stone’ and Bumblebee were so good at being evil, yet they ended up good in the end.
She was incredibly pissed off that she worked her ass off trying to get into the Brotherhood of Evil and impress Madame Rouge and the H.I.V.E Five did basically nothing and were still apart of the end battle.
While Wally is the one with the least amount of self-control, he’s the one who always has to convince her to stop adopting random animals off the streets. I like to think they get a rabbit, two cats, and three kittens this way.
Her favorite nickname for him is “Kidiot Flash”.
While she claims to hate cliches, she, of course, secretly loves it when Wally gives her roses, takes her to the movies, wins her carnival prizes, and all that, because it feels like she’s a normal girl living a normal life with a normal lover.
She and Kid Flash are often asked to watch over the Teen Titans Tower whenever the Teen Titans have to leave or some members are off on a mission or something personal, and they have multiple running gags because of it. Pretending they’ve taken over the Tower, joking about being a criminal because they broke the rules by stepping foot into Raven’s room, etc.
Sometimes she and Wally will just pop into the H.I.V.E tower for shits and giggles. The H.I.V.E Five eventually become tolerant to, although severely irritated by, their shenanigans and asked them to “at least bring groceries or something”. Kid Flash promptly did so every time after that, and, well, they didn’t complain as much anymore.
Because she once dated Leo who became Kid Kold, and is currently dating Kid Flash, Wally jokingly asked her if she had ever dated Kyd Wykkyd, seeing as she had “a thing for Kids” before he realized how bad that sounded and immediately retracted his statement, leaving Jinx rolling with laughter.
Wally once asked her if she thought any of her old teammates could be reformed. Jinx replied with a heavy maybe, saying that See-More was a pretty good guy, Kyd Wykkyd never really seemed evil-evil, and that she always thought Kid Kold was too wimpy and nice to be a villain.
Kid Kold, the Neglected Ex
I like to imagine they met during fighting training, and Jinx decided to spare him (something she was later yelled at for). Jinx was still a loner at this time, and decided to “take Leo under her wing”, seeing as he was so “wimpy, useless and pathetic”.
Because of this, he became used to her as a ‘crutch’, often cheating off of her even when she didn’t allow him too.
Teachers thought Jinx was too nice on her “teammate” and eventual boyfriend, which resulted in her getting slowly and slowly more ruder to him.
Regardless, they both shared a lot of secrets about each other. Leo knew about her love of unicorns and sparkles, and that she once dreamed about being a good guy. She knew about his bad home life. They both wanted to become somebody big and important, and villainy was the only chance to do so in their minds.
Their relationship really started to turn sour as villainy classes taught Jinx that sharing vulnerable secrets was a sign of weakness, a sign of a pathetic “good guy”. She slowly began to cut herself off emotionally from Leo. Leo, on the other hand, remained as clingy and whiny as ever to her, still trying to share everything, which she didn’t want because she didn’t want to get more emotionally attached, because that was another thing drilled into her mind.
When she started to drift towards the other star students, Gizmo and Mammoth, Leo would attempt to join them, but Gizmo and Mammoth weren’t the kindest, and Jinx did nothing to stop them. Leo had some of the lower scores in school, and he was hurting her reputation as much as she said she “didn’t care for it”.
This distancing resulted in an argument that got physical. They broke up, and Leo was all alone. Jinx felt bad, but she hid it well. Gizmo and Mammoth were quick to frame Leo as 100% in the bad light, even though Jinx knew they were both at fault. This ruined Leo’s reputation even further, and led to Leo eventually dropping out.
Gizmo and Mammoth were like over-protecting, over-baring brothers in this situation. They still badmouth Leo whenever he’s brought up, saying he was a “loser who wouldn’t survive without Jinx’s pity”.
After they met in Keystone City on opposing sides, Leo, now Kid Kold, wanted to prove to Jinx that he could be a better villain without her help. He would often comment “one of us is a good guy now, so who was really the better villain?”
Kid Flash once made a comment that maybe he and his sister should join the H.I.V.E Five and make it the H.I.V.E Seven, but Kold viciously hated the very idea. He despised Gizmo and Mammoth for ‘taking Jinx away from him’, and they despised him right back.
Katie, aka Ice Kate, is a bit of a bitch, but she at least knows to stick to petty criminal stuff instead of trying to go “for the big leagues” like her brother. She and Jinx get along surprisingly well when casual conversation arises (which isn’t often), although Katie still doesn’t like Jinx that much regardless.
These became less headcannons and more of a story lol. I really need to write some of this stuff
