It had been too long. But the worn figure arrived by the door to the cottage. It was raining, and his hair was matted, But none the less, Troy knocked softly on the door. Hoping she wouldn't hate him. Hoping she could forgive him for being absent.

Rosilyn had been laying down and listening to the sound of the rain hitting the roof. It was fairly soothing, but it did little to comfort her loneliness. She heard a light knock on the door and sat up. Who would be out in the rain? She got up and carefully opened the door just a crack. She saw such familiar eyes. He’s back! Rosilyn threw open the door and wrapped her arms around him, not minding the fact that she was wet too now. “You are back!”
