Grounding
Beginner witches really underestimate the importance of grounding. When working with energy the side effects can range from a drunk-like state to so completely drained. Having your energy run wild can leave you open to influence.
There are a few different methods to ground yourself, experiment with them and see which fits you best. these two following methods are the ones I use personally, both give a different feeling once complete, the first will leave you feeling lighter, happier (and in my experience a little to spontaneous) the second will make you feel level and balanced, calmer.
1. Start by imagining roots growing from you feet and branching deep into the earth them ask the universe or you deity to lend you their light, envision the light entering the top of your head, allow it to push out any negative or excess energy down to your feet and through the roots let it dissolve into the earth. keep going untill you feel light and clean, sever the roots from the base of your feet and release the light, send love and thanks (an offering wont hurt either)
2. lay on the ground (can be done through just the feet, but the more contact the better.) envision roots growing from every place your body has contact with the earth. visualize more roots coming from the earth and wrapping your body in the before joining to the earth again. feel the pulse of the earth, inhale and exhale slowly, on the exhale allow all the negative and excess energy to flow from your body down your roots and allow it to dissolve into the earth. on the inhale feel the pulse of the earth pump clean energy into the root wrapping your body, allow it to seep into you. continue this untill you feel balanced.
The importance of learning how to ground yourself is sooo utterly important i encourage everyone to learn and use these techniques its simple but so effective
You just go for it! Take it at your own pace and try your best to not be impatient with yourself! Your level and speed of growth might be faster/slower than someone else’s, so focus on your own path and let the journey take you to amazing places and opportunities! There’s obvs going to be obstacles in the way of what you want to do, but the greater the accomplishment requires even greater challenges, though the real question is if you’re willing to take the plunge and try anyways?
