(Original Announcement know that folks dont necessarily always read blog titles so coming on just to announce an indefinite hiatus from posting here.

Its started to feel counterproductive, no matter what i do, this account feels too tied to tale/s of ar//cadia and while i had a good run in that fandom, i no longer feel any emotions towards it and wish this account could move on from that. my notifs say otherwise. and it feels useless to try post anything else on here.

I'm still drawing, and if you want to keep up, I'll still be posting on twitter @grailknghtmonty and instagram as @the.average.hobbit

That being said: Im going to still be active on my main @kiwibirdlafayette , my DMs are always open if anyone ever wants to chat (and mutuals feel free to message for my discord)

One final post here as a final reminder this page is going inactive for good, I've changed art accounts as the algorithm on here hit a stalemate because of only one type of post getting notes and I'm tired of fighting it. I never wanted to fully abandon this platform, and my time on twitter hasn't been all great so I've decided to archive here and move art blogs.

My main is staying the same, that won't change and honestly you could probably track down my new art blog if you really wanted to but eh whatever bruh. My art tag changed, I'm going by a different pseudo, so this is the last you'll see of the Lafakiwi persona. It was a nice run

Anyways, this isn't meant to be some heartfelt goodbye, just a 'see you around'. (Arthuriana and python, dont worry im not done with yall yet)

UPDATE for peeps still here!!

Nothing's changed (besides the name change)- This was a nice run but I've moved on! I'm still hanging on main, and Im at @grailknightmonty for art now! If you follow #Lafakiwi draws I still tag my art that, and I also use #GKM arts :D Im only back cause I feel like I still get a decent amount of notifs here and I'm really not around anymore lmaOOOo

Most of the stuff on GKM is MCYT atm, but I'm still a multifandom account, and RB tons of multifandom on my main @kiwibirdlafayette

Finding the Path Through the Woods (Development): Week 1-3

Couldn't find a more proper way to format this, so here's a collection of the visual development I've been working on. For these early stages, I've been working on figuring out exactly what I want this film to look like (without setting my expectations in myself too high) and after some thought, I've landed in a perfect clearing.

From the various ideas I had procured in the weeks prior to this semester beginning, I ended up settling on the (perhaps temporarily titled) Acquiescence, a story pulling a narrative from a play on the idea of acceptance, moving on and new horizons when you've hit burnout.

Inspired by my own experiences, and stories of people I look up to, this refers a fact of fate I've struggled to grapple with that when it comes to life, sometimes what you set out to succeed in (and sometimes do) isn't going to be your passion forever. Perhaps it becomes too repetitive, feels not worth it, or simply just doesn't bring you the same happiness it used to. And then, you find something new. Something that fills the void. But part of you doesn't want to leave that old thing behind, even if accepting these new endeavors will bring you more life you could even imagine.

This becomes the truth for the protagonist, Feidlimid "Felix", a once well known poet now past his prime (only late 20s-early 30s) who hasn't had a good idea in years. However, through a fall into his own wastebin, and an encounter with forces unseen below the surface of a bog, he comes to realize that it's never too late to take that leap into a new venture in one's own pursuit of happiness.

Let's hope I can keep this energy up and get this done ✌️

Galahad grows up on the notion that his uncle, Monty Jones was an unloyal with no direction in life, amongst many other lies told to him by his mother, and despite a good relationship with Elliard, he can't find reason to see that there would be any truth to anything else.

However, in the middle of seeking the Grail, he is interdimensionally separated from his party and ends up in a world filled with boxes and stone with only one other human being there- his uncle.

And as he runs around watching Monty fail countless times searching for precious metals, or long forgotten fortresses in a hellscape full of lava, he comes to realize what he's been missing all along.
