Olive wood is recognized for its excellent resistance to moisture, heavy weight, hardness and durability.
Juniper wood has the scent of pepper and deep, earthy roots. It is an uncommon wood that makes this knife even more cherished. Juniper belongs to the species of wood that display an exceptionally high natural durability.
Amourette (snake wood) is a very hard and heavy wood that is easy to split, but can only be manipulated under high pressure. It shrinks evenly and can be well polished. Snake wood is one the most expensive species of wood.
Boxwood is very thick, hard, malleable and durable. It is the hardest and heaviest domestic wood.
Rosewood is among the most expensive and most beautiful wood! It is extremely hard and gives off a light scent reminiscent of roses.
Violet wood (Jacaranda-violeta) grows primarily in Brazil. Much of our furniture comes from this wood, also called "kingwood". It is from the same genus as rosewood, cocobolo and granadilla.
The heartwood is of a deep, almost blackish shade of violet-brown, with violet-black, violet-brown, or even sometimes yellow-gold stripes. This expensive wood, used to make musical instruments, grows to a height of about 10 m (32.8 ft.), much like rosewood. Unlike rosewood, however, it is more finely pored and harder. It grows exclusively in a small region in the northeast of Brazil. This wood is resistant to aging and extremely durable!
