i love esme and her relationship with mc but she really truly fucked up with this one. she let her feelings for levi affect her judgment (be it a genuine mistake which i refuse to believe it was or an act with purpose) and i dont see how she gets out of this with her license intact.

Can’t believe that MC’s murder experience couldn’t help her intern. Only woman with the relevant skills on the matter and Esme didn’t even ask.

well she did ask what to do when you knew what the right thing to do was but it wasn't technically allowed. so i guess in her perspective putting levi out of his misery was the right thing to do. and mc has the option to say find a way to do the right thing or just let it go.

THEORY (tw: potential suicide)

does anyone else think Levi (Esme’s patient) you know....because he didn’t want to be in pain anymore ?

Esme spent a lot of time with him from what MC learns, therefore he could’ve paid attention to her procedures and decided to adjust it after his party bc he had everything he needed before he died?

- Levi mentions how this is his first birthday party since 8th grade

- he mentions how he doesn’t want his parents to be ridden with hospital bills

- he joked about not having much time left anyway

- he wasn’t actively trying to have hope for his future, even though his parents were adamant on it

i don’t know..either it’s PANACEA who’s responsible or he did it to himself and we’ll find a note or video of him saying goodbye and Esme will be cleared (it’s pretty clear Esme sort of resembles MC’s storyline)

i know doctors make mistakes but in the scene Esme was really really confused as to how it happened

he def knew what was going to happen i mean they kinda foreshadowed it when he hugged his parents despite being in pain and mc noted that he had tears from what appeared to be sorrow rather than pain so in his own way he was saying goodbye

Keiki Lahela as a Youtuber Headcanons

Since everyone hated her from the age of 5 because she was from that Lahela family, when Keiki discovered the internet, it was a game changer. Finally, she had friends. Even if only online.

She spent a lot of time online growing up. Pretty much as soon as she got back from (another terrible day at) school, Keiki made her way through the colossal Lahela mansion to her room, and her laptop.

She really immersed herself into the online world. Keiki is on pretty much every social media platform.

But she really took off on YouTube for some reason, where she started making videos under the handle “Kiki_Lalala”.

She does all kinds of videos. Story times, vlogs, make up tutorials, whatever viral challenge is going around. She’s starting to make a little bit of money from YouTube now that she’s monetized. Not a crazy amount of money, but it’s nice having a little something for shopping.

Since YouTube is a big part of her life, when she moves in with Bryce, of course her brother has to appear on her channel.

So they film a video Keiki titles, “Asking a surgeon basic medical questions.” Bryce does very poorly. Apparently, you don’t need to know the symptoms for appendicitis in order to actually remove the appendix.

Keiki is slightly annoyed when all the comments are just focused on how hot Bryce is. But Bryce loves it, and because his fans demand it, he starts a public Pictagram account, @ThatHotSurgeon. He ends up with way more Pictagram followers than Keiki.

Despite not wanting to make Bryce’s head bigger than it already is, more views mean more money, so Keiki swallows her pride and invites him to appear in several more videos.

“My Brother Does My Makeup (badly)”, “Q&A with @ThatHotSurgeon”, and, when someone requests it in a comment and it gets hundreds of thumbs up, “Prank, telling my brother I’m pregnant!” are all hugely successful. Although that last one results in Bryce refusing to do videos with her for awhile.

Eventually, Casey gets in on the action too, for “Who Knows @ThatHotSurgeon better? His sister or his girlfriend???”

“We have a big age gap, so I feel like this is kind of an unfair competition.” Keiki can’t help but complain as they pull up their dry erase boards for the first question.

“And I didn’t even know Bryce had a sister until you showed up here, so who knows what I know about this uncommunicative man.” Casey insists. A fair point that has Keiki thinking maybe she can win this thing.

They both end up doing rather poorly. Neither Casey or Keiki know the name of Bryce’s first pet, who was his first crush, or his favorite movie.

Bryce shakes his head as the score stays tied at 0-0. “I’m disappointed in both of you.” He playfully complains.

Casey scoffs. “These questions are dumb. Do you know what I would bring to a deserted island?!”

“Duh, me.” Bryce retorts, leaning in for a quick kiss.

“Ugh, keep it up and I’m kicking you both out of my video.” Keiki threatens.

They end up having to go to sudden death to break the 0-0 tie. Whoever can guess closest to at what age Bryce decided he was going to be a surgeon wins.

Keiki says 10. Casey joyously reveals her answer of 16, which exactly matches Bryce’s answer. Apparently, this is something they’ve actually talked about.

Which Keiki feels makes her loss null and void, because Bryce picked the final question and he clearly just wanted his girlfriend to win.
