“Err hello? Yes this is Johnny G. I’d like to order 46 gallons of milk. That’s right, 46 gallons.”

“Johnny? Did you order milk for the station?”

“I did.”

“There’s somebody on the phone for you.”

A little while later…

… the next day…

…the day after that…

…the following day…

…the same evening…

…at Rampart…

“Darn it! Somebody’s been keeping the lines busy for three days straight!”

…the following morning…

“Joe?”

“I’m holding the line, Kel.”

“Who is this and what do you want?”

“My order? Dispatched? Gage? Do you know anything about this?”

“Vince. I want you to make an arrest. I think I know who kept the lines busy for ten days straight. What do you have to say?”

I was just watching Emergency! Season 4: Camera Bug, and noticed something I hadn’t seen before.  

Johnny is wearing his camera around his neck:

He takes it off over his head and accidentally bumps Roy in the face with it:

I’m sure this was an accident, and Kevin Tighe reaches up and rubs his cheek where he got hit:

And Randy is so sweet he puts his hand on the back of Kevin’s head, as if to say Sorry Buddy! 

The tones go off and they jump in the squad. I could just imagine Randy getting in the squad and laughing and telling Kevin he was sorry!

To celebrate reaching 51 followers, I’ve compiled a list of 51 of my favorite things about the best show on television, Emergency!  It’s a bit long, so sit back with a cup of black coffee, some sweet rolls, and a bowl of butterscotch bean dip and enjoy! 

1. Johnny Gage, the most admirable and adorable television character ever. He’s professional, devoted, obsessive, occasionally dorky, and always sexy.  With his pretty brown eyes, long eyelashes, and crooked grin, he’s the muse for every Disney Prince Charming.  Randy Mantooth couldn’t have done a better job with this character.

2. Roy DeSoto.  With the prettiest blue eyes in L.A., Roy is hard-working, dedicated, slightly quick-tempered (when it comes to his neurotic partner), and extremely cute when he makes his squish-face at Johnny. (More on that later)  He’s the king of the eye roll and champion of the side-eye glare.

Randy’s prank

Randy got away with a great prank in the season 2 episode Drivers.  He snatched a brass thing, stamp dispenser looks like, off Kel’s desk, and it made it past the editors.

It amazes me how straight-faced he is with that in his pocket during the rest of the scene.
