What advice has worked for you or youāve attempted with not taking āthingsā personally- especially in relationships? For example; angry coworkers or roommates with different ideas of cleanliness. Thank you for any wisdom or hard learned lessons.
hmm I think to see othersā āproblemsā as prompts to what is bothering us. a mirror practice. take it as a challenge to communicate and also not take it as a personal attack on you. everyone is doing what they believe is best or right for where theyāre at, for the most part, and is dealing with their own stories about themselves and the world. it helps to be kind and it helps to stand up for yourself, and it helps to do these things lovingly if you can. Iād say the rule is if it bothers you for an extended period of time either say something or change the situation for yourself and accept that people sometimes just are who they are. if it isnāt an environment you want to be in then you can change it.
