Flowers donât tell, they show.
âLife is available only in the present moment.â
â ThĂch Nháș„t HáșĄnh
Hurricane Mountain
âI want enough time to be in love with everything.â
â Marina Keegan
âSome of you say, âJoy is greater than sorrow,â and others say, âNay, sorrow is the greater.â But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.â
â Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
Manage your mind, manage your life.
âThere comes a point in a relationship when you realize that you trust someone enough to let them keep their secrets.â
â Robert Brault
âSometimes youâre 23 and standing in the kitchen of your house making breakfast and brewing coffee and listening to music that for some reason is really getting to your heart. Youâre just standing there thinking about going to work and picking up your dry cleaning. And also more exciting things like books youâre reading and trips you plan on taking and relationships that are springing into existence. Or fading from your memory, which is far less exciting. And suddenly you just donât feel at home in your skin or in your house and you just want home but âMomâsâ probably wouldnât feel like home anymore either. There used to be the comfort of a number in your phone and ears that listened everyday and arms that were never for anyone else. But just to calm you down when you started feeling trapped in a five-minute period where nostalgia is too much and thoughts of this person you are feel foreign. When you realize that youâll never be this young again but this is the first time youâve ever been this old. When you canât remember how you got from sixteen to here and all the same feel like sixteen is just as much of a stranger to you now. The song is over. The coffeeâs done. Youâre going to breathe in and out. Youâre going to be fine in about five minutes.â
â Kalyn RoseAnne (via extramadness)
Letters to myself when everything feels so heavy.
âYou know how every once in a while you do something and the little voice inside says âThere. Thatâs it. Thatâs why youâre hereâ ⊠and you get a warm glow in your heart because you know itâs true? Do more of that.â
â Jacob Nordby
The saddest thing in the world is when youâre really excited to see a person and youâve imagined all these scenarios in your head about how it would go and then you get there and itâs awkward and youâre both distant and you leave with this crushing sadness and this insistence that that wasnât how it was supposed to be
