grateful for my best friend who shows up for all of my sucesses, big or small. who picked me up after every exam I’ve had for several years, even the mock ones. who sat in my presentations and biked to every one of my final six law school exams over two weeks through the whole city, making sure there‘s someone waiting for me outside of the building. And who makes it a point to bring me flowers once she heard I passed them. // 20.07.26

just got told that I passed my law school exams!

today I complimented a girl on my way home, it just came naturally. later on, I saw another young girl (kid?) at the gym. she was with her dad and wanted to use the stairmaster next to me. first she asked her dad to explain the machine to her and then, as the dad left, we exchanged smiles. she had the energy that kids have when they want to be around you but are too shy so they just do whatever right next to you. (so adorable)

all of this to say - I am proud of the woman I‘m becoming, witnessing myself being this tender hearted towards younger people, despite my own childhood (maybe because of it) makes me feel grateful and relieved that this is who I get to be in adulthood. young people seem to gravitate towards me a lot, which means they feel safe. there is no higher compliment to me.

I genuinely love making younger girls feel seen and supported. my heart melts for kids and teenagers. I hope they are safe in their minds and in the world. and that they feel good enough and confident.

my herbs are my whole pride and joy this summer. I put them in salds, stews, ice tea, desserts. this is my first year planting anything, so I‘m definitely planning on upping my game next year!

sometimes I look too closely and my own belongings feel foreign to me. I‘m just another being, just another soul to myself.

thinking about booking a flight to Istanbul for a weekend trip (never travelled alone before)

first coffee in months, a monday and working from the car. I literally had to force myself out of this rut.
