Sociological Record by Zofia Rydet, begun 1978.
Another day another initiation! To title this photograph I turned to Ithell. I place my hand on the Crying of the Wind and asked her to help with a smokey phrase, I opened it up and this is what she produced: A huge wisp of vapour was streaming up from the north-west like smoke from a monstrous bonfire - dove-grey, brown, russet, copper, gold - its tones reflected by the cloudbank above the Twelve Bens. This smoke from the giant's fire gradually thinned out, dissipating itself across the mid-heaven; the sky colours that stained the mountains - for these had taken on the same hues as the cumulus, were clouds that had gained substance - changed from copper to rose, massive against unclouded stretches of a subdued but translucent blue. pg 98, The Crying of the Wind, Ithell Colquhoun. So here it is: Russet Vapours from Mid-Heaven ✨✨✨✨✨✨
Items from the OTT archive will be on show this March at St Saviours Hall, Plymouth as part of Ancient Scent: Ireland an exhibition inspired by Ithell Colquhoun’s book The Crying of the Wind

There will also be original works by Ithell Colquhoun on show for the evening and Peter Owen Publishers will be re-launching Colquhoun’s two travelogues: The Living Stones and The Crying of the Wind.
Happy lamby with his newly completed portrait. He doesn't have a house so he doesn't have anywhere to hang it but I guess I can hang it in mine for him 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥
An unattractively arranged but delicious plate of food: quinoa, roasted sweet potato (roasted in smoked sea salt and a little paprika), radish, cucumber, pumpkin seeds and a walnut, basil, parsley, garlic, olive oil and parmesan pesto. Topped with two soft boiled eggs because I didn't have lunch and I'm ravenous! Currently tidying my desk hence the pile beneath ✌✌✌
Soft focus landscape (the world without my glasses), enamel, acrylic and felt tip. 2016. ☁️☁️☁️☁️ #landscape #enamel #acrylic #decolmania #abstraction #abstract #colour #pattern #bright #outsiderart
