OPEN CALL FOR ART: "A Dili free of gender-based violence"
We are now accepting entries for the Festivál Laloran Open Arts Competition. Dili residents of all nationalities are invited to participate. Timorese youth living outside of Dili, whether in Timor-Leste or abroad, are also invited to join in this exciting opportunity.
Entrants are asked to create a piece of artwork on the topic of ‘A Dili free of gender-based violence’. Mediums which are accepted include photography, visual art, sculpture, creative writing, poetry, digital video, or audio recordings.
Entries will be judged by a panel of distinguished artists and community leaders. Winner will be announced on December 3rd at the Festivál Laloran main event in Jardin Cinco de Maio.
Festivál Laloran is an arts festival organized by Ba Futuru in collaboration with UN Women and Redo Feto, with financial support from the European Union, as part of the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence.
Physical entries may be submitted in person at the Ba Futuru Peace Center (Golgota, Comoro, TImor-Leste - directions at www.bafuturu.org).

Winning submissions will receive prizes and be included in an official festival exhibition at Xanana Gusmão Reading Room.
