Leonardo di Caprio to star in Revenant II sequel: "Miami Commuting"
May 2, 2016 - MIAMI, FL Oscar-winner Leonardo di Caprio will star in a action-packed sequel to The Revenant produced by MGM. This riveting drama reveals how long it takes to commute on an average business day from West Kendall to Brickell during rush hour.
“i’m interested in this story because I already performed in Titanic, where I saved a beautiful woman from drowning on a huge ship in the middle of the Atlantic," said the charismatic actor at a press conference.
"Then there was The Revenant, where I was mauled by a bear yet managed to haul myself through snow, ice and quite uncomfortable wintry weather, just eating mulberries, twigs and a bison kidney some native American threw at me. But the Kendall to Brickell commute is something far more challenging," he revealed.
"It even involves the park and ride lot, the busway and metrorail and someone blasting regaetton in my face from their excessively tricked-out SUV, but I'd rather not say more and keep you in suspense," he mentioned with a wink and a smile.
The film production team includes acclaimed local filmmakers Billy Corben and Alfred Spellman. Corben told reporter Conchita Perez from La Malanga that he was "saddled up for this project and ready to tell the most truthful documentary style story of his life, which does not involve shooting and drug trafficking, although you never know. It is Miami, after all."
The film is expected to release in 2017 just before the Oscar season. Conchita Perez is an investigative reporter and has written for such illustrious publications as the Sedano's weekly grocery circular.
