Something was wrong. Something was VERY wrong. But Derek couldn’t figure out exactly what. He didn’t feel right. He felt..younger? He looked younger. The years certainly weren’t kind to him, at least in his mind. His stubbled beard had shifted to something much more manageable and he didn’t feel so tired, so stressed. And yet, nothing had changed. Right?…nothing had changed.
He’d woken in the woods, which wasn’t exactly the normal. Last night wasn’t a full moon, he was positive. So it wasn’t like he’d just wolfed out and ghosted for the night. He didn’t seem to have any injuries. So a pretty hefty whack to the head was out of the question. Magic was really the only other logical explanation. He was in an unfamiliar town, with unfamiliar faces. And he certainly didn’t look like he had 24 hours before.
Walking down the crowded sidewalk, his hand darted out and he caught the arm of the first person he spotted walking back. “What year is this? Where are we?”
The blonde was very much over the confusion of not only herself but everyone around her. Nobody seemed to have any answers, everyone she just asked was hopeless. She figured she’d just have to accept whatever it was that was going on until she could find some kind of answer from someone she actually knew. Though she couldn’t seem to get away from the confusion of it all as a dark haired male approached her. He smelled like a wet dog so she could only assume he was a wolf and she snarled slightly before tilting her head to the side when he asked what year it was and where they were. ‘’2009 and Mystic Falls.’’ she shrugged. ‘’Your guess is as good as mine.’’
