Everything is up to oneself. There is no one other person who can make you meditate or study. It’s entirely up to you. This is a challenge because if you don’t do it, then it doesn’t get done. But on the other hand, if you do practice and if you do study, then it’s a wonderful thing. It’s a noble cause to be determined to liberate oneself and others. This time of uncertainty is similar to a bardo. It’s an intermediate state or in-between state where anything is possible. We don’t know how things will go. I don’t have any words of wisdom, just a small sentiment, unlike my teachers who’s wisdom and compassion have inspired me deeply to pursue the Dharma wholeheartedly with the intention to benefit others. ... All I do know is that everything is impermanent. Everything is changing all the time. And that the realization of impermanence is not sad at all. Because of impermanence everything is possible! And not only that, because of impermanence we appreciate the precious life that we have and the lives of others. ... So what to do in these difficult times? Think of others. Think, “May my actions and speech be of benefit to others.” Listen to medical experts and follow their instructions. Make the most of this precious time. Study, contemplate, meditate.
