Okay first things first, I do use more than just tarot to do specific readings like this. I use Lenormand, my fairytale oracle and tarot as well so I can receive the full picture. Only using tarot can pull the message a bit of everywhere and you won't really be able to understand the full story they're trying to communicate to you. Now, that's just my belief. Cards are just the picture of it, but the energy you feel from whoever you’re doing the reading on is what really matters here. Which is why you have to know how to understand tarot and its normal meanings, and then build on that to make your own meaning for the cards as well. Of course, do whatever works for you, this way just works the best for me. You can find a post example of it on my masterlist with seventeen, you'll see how descriptive I get with the few of them. Again, When I do tarot on the side I have to read the cards a bit different then I usually would. Major arcanas can be a bit wishy washy. Cards like temperance and star usually signify bisexuality to me. Temperance is the card of free flow and emotional balance. It can also signify gender fluidity as well. Temperance is a very go with the flow, stress free type of card that chooses to move on its own timing. Now the star, the star is about authenticity and self-healing, which could mean figuring out who you truly are and finding your path to peace. What makes YOU happy? Now, unlike the 2 examples I gave you before, cards like the hierophant and emperor move different. They're all about structure, foundation and control. They go by what is tried and true. They stick to traditional belief and can be close-minded. But, that isn't ALL of the time it does indeed depend on the card that comes after it. Court cards are a bit different in their own way as well. Pages and knights usually signify still figuring yourself out or queerness. Take the knight of cups and page of wands for example. The knight of cups can't help but to go by feeling and attraction, they can be sexually fluid and enjoy intimate connections with people, regardless of how you may physically present yourself. They lead with their heart and soul. They are usually very comfortable in themselves and know what they like, regardless if people agree with it or not. They can be the “dreamer” type really, and like to let their imagination run wild, with no limitations. The page of wands is someone who is just really trying to figure it out tbh. They go by passion, curiosity and ambition. They came here on a mission, and it’s to experience the wonders of life. They don't have time to be caged in by societal expectations! But what comes with that is mainly bi-curiousness, and hey, that’s fine, be sexually wild! but when it comes to Pages…they will immediately leave you that same week and skate off to the next person they’ll experiment on. They have to taste every flavor of the rainbow and they can’t do that if you’re cramping their style by attempting to lock them down in a real queer relationship! Other cards such as the 10 of pentacles, king/queen of pentacles and justice can all also signify staying in tradition and structure as well. When it comes to Lenormand, it’s pretty straightforward in its approach. Some examples are Bear, House, Tower and Lilies. They usually signify staying within limits and not wanting to branch out. Basically it’s the “I’m straight” of cards. Again, unless it’s paired with something else like the garden+tower+cross. Now, that combination changes everything, and can lean towards succumbing to societal/familial pressures. When it comes to HOW I do it, I can show you some more examples and combos that might make a bit more sense.
Card combos are the key to it all. I use all of my decks in a certain order, Lenomand, Oracle and maybe tarot. I don’t like to mix tarot and Lenormand often. Let’s do some examples. Let’s say that I was doing a reading on a certain idol. Whoever that is, is up to your imagination. I am using Lenormand first, and I receive the lilies+man+house+tower all at once. That pull right there alone tells me that they prefer to move in a more traditional manner, and do not feel comfortable exploring outside of the box. Which aka means straight. Now, you’d think that I would move onto the next step and pull out my oracle, but in this case since the answer came out so crystal clear, there isn’t really much need to do that. Onto the next example. I do a separate reading on another person and pull the mountain+tower+luck+cross. This means that the person could be queer but is struggling to accept it due to frequently being around a structured or traditional environment. Their soul wants to move out of this limiting way of living, but their physical body is struggling to accept the call, and so they basically play pretend despite it bringing very little joy to them and instead it brings on more baggage. The oracle in this case would just amplify the previous cards message, and is really just a nice add-on. Kind of like a motivational message to their conscious. I didn’t know that people would be this piqued by my way of reading but i appreciate it, and I’ll definitely be doing more later! I hope that my explanation helped you a little bit, and if you have anymore questions always feel free to ask me!
