Updated Lutes + Lute Lutes :)

I made a small update (custom thumb) to the old version of these nine lutes, which have the guitar skill as base. Zee also made an adjustment to make them all based on the Lute skill, from the Lute mod by Jane Simsten.

So, your medieval sims want to be Bards and Jesters? Then they will need a lute. The Sims Medieval Luthier can now offer you a wide range of lutes for all pouches: from the old, worn Lute to the Jeweled and Gilded Watcher's Lute, the natural choice for Royal Sims. My personal fav must be the Tredonian Ivory Lute.

You can not use both sets at the same time, but you can have some of them lutes and some guitars, if you want. Pick and choose!

If you put two of the SAME lute in game the guitar will be the one you find in game. So have only one of each.

I would like to see a variety of historical cc for shoes, um modern kids mix match for kids, infants toddlers down the road if you can if not I understand. Thanks for all you do in the sims community!

Unfortunately there's a pretty limited amount of dedicated historical footwear CC out there at the moment, but I've gathered up a bunch of options that could work for their respective century. I've only gone up to the 1700s as my Ultimate Decades Timeline series will soon be entering the 1800s, so I'll have plenty of shoe options for that century in the not-too-distant future. CC links and more information for each century under the cut.

An extended, pointed toe was the quintessential shape for 14th century shoes, although shorter toes were worn by working class people due to their practicality. Footwear, much like the clothes of the period, was simple and non-fussy.

Okay I won't lie, I've been in a creating slump recently (the current status of the game is mostly responsible for that), but when I saw an excellent, gaudy, huge, and slightly trashy (in a good way) jewellery set outfit locked in the new Bridgerton kit, my first thought was "THE AUDACITY", my second thought was, "I NEED THAT". Robe a l'Anglaise by @acanthus-sims

A Maxis-Match-ification

All of the custom content created by @acanthus-sims is truly iconic and a must-have for any 18th-century save files. But as a loud and proud captain for Team Maxis-Match, their content has always been just a bit too "alpha" for my personal tastes.

This is a recoloring of Acanthus' Robe a l'Anglaise that started as a personal project so the gown would fit better with my game aesthetic. But as I'm sure there's others out there that love this CC as well who prefer MM, I'm sharing this!

While this is a fairly straightforward process, it does still take a bit of time as it requires baking new textures in Blender and then doing some editing of the textures further in a photo editor. I'll be slowly converting all of Acanthus' content to MM, but this will likely take me some time, so please be patient!

Here's The Details:

I've recolored the gown and all 3 accessory add-ons that go with it

73 Swatches each in the original palette that came with this gown

These are RECOLORS ONLY, so they require that you have Acanthus' original files!

I've re-textured the Diffuse files, removed all Specular, but kept the original Normal Maps. Acanthus' Normal Maps were quite detailed, so these will still have the slightest Alpha vibe bc of that! I've opted to keep these for the detail they provide, but removing them would require much more hand-painting on my part that I didn't feel like doing... 🫠

So, you guys know how much I love my color overlays that allow you to further customize the colors of specific parts of my CC? I've gone ahead and added an ADD-ON to this Anglaise recolor that will let you choose a different color for JUST THE PETTICOAT.
