the corners of her mouth reach from ear to ear with a genuine smile, she couldn’t even help but chuckle at his choice of words. typical landon, and she appreciated it fully. “i missed you too, dude. it’s been a while, wouldn’t you say?” it was nice to talk to someone she actually enjoyed spending time with back in high school, he always did put her in a good mood. “how’ve you been, landon? what have you been up to? i want to ask you all the questions.”
since aster couldn’t see, landon always let his eyes linger on her for a little too long. not in a creepy way, he just genuinely admired her. “well i stayed in roscoe, so you know i’m just living it up!” landon joked, knowing how lame that sounded. “i’m a store clerk at Macy’s. really satisfying work dude, i know,” he said, taking a sip of his beer. “what about you?”
