Hair dye is a great litmus test for parental control, because none of the usual arguments against youth autonomy apply to it, so the only rationale for forbidding it is control for its own sake.
“What if they regret it when they’re grown up?”
Irrelevant, it will have washed out/grown out by then.
“What if they regret it between now and when it washes out/ grows out?”
Then they will gain valuable experience about decision making and potential for regret, which will be useful to them throughout their life.
“They can’t get a job.”
Irrelevant!
“People will judge them.”
They’re a kid, people will judge them regardless of how they look.
“People will judge me.”
Okay, you admit the truth then, this is about you.
I've started working on the next land, but progress is slow now that school is back in. I'll try to finish when I have the time. Thanks for the patience!
Land of Canyons and Batteries for @manic---insomniac
Full description under the cut.
Description
The planet is a barren wasteland of giant batteries, and red, stone canyons. Much like the Grand Canyon, these canyons are made of sedimentary rock, and were carved out by ancient rivers. The dry planet is littered with batteries, ranging from car sized, to skyscraper heights. Beautiful rock formations add some natural beauty to the usually dismal land, and the consorts of the planet have built large monuments, simulating the rocky constructs and blending in seamlessly. The large batteries are now in a state of disrepair, after an explosion caused the once advanced civilization to crumble. Once state of the art technology, the unused and corroding batteries are now the main source of toxicity on the planet.
Consorts
The consorts of LOCAB are the green geckos. Their usual dusty hue is now a glowing neon green, and they have developed large yellow spots due to the radiation on the planet’s surface. They are reserved and secretive by consort standards, but are easily offended and disloyal. They live alone or in small groups, scavenging and hunting the mutated descendants of Stroseis’ minions. They lost faith in Stroseis, the lands denizen, after the Great Cataclysm, a large explosion that released toxic chemicals and destroyed the largest artificial power source on the planet. Despite this, ancient temples remain hidden within the stone landscape. Their history is passed down from generation to generation, but all known physical copies of the lore have been destroyed. There are still some monuments remaining, but no one knows how to open them, except for Stroseis, who’s ancient knowledge can be very valuable to the Hero.
Denizen
The denizen of this land is Stroseis, an ancient monster that lies deep within the rocky caves. He is thin, with long arms and sharp features. His serpent tail is a collage of browns and reds, matching the rocks that make up his cave lair. His lair is a system of winding caves cut into the sedimentary stone that progress downward, rather than outward, with each layer containing more ferocious traps and beasts than the last. The cave entrance is close to the surface, but hidden amongst the stone landscape. At the bottom of the cave system is an unusual circumstance, a denizen long dead. Stroseis lies on a slab in the center of a grand room, slowly turning into stone as his body decomposes. He had succumbed to the poison of the land long ago, but during his illness recorded hundreds of volumes of wisdom, history, and speculation. Hidden within these books are the key to finding the heart of the ancient gecko civilization. With it, however, comes a choice.
The Choice
The choice may seem simple at first, but may become tempting as it dances in the mind of the Hero. A powerful weapon, made in the Forge itself, lies beneath a grand fountain in the center of the ancient capital city. Stroseis hid its location within his works, but begs the Hero not to ever use it. They must guard it with their life, and in exchange, Stroseis will lead them to the planet’s salvation. However if the weapon is disturbed, the only hope of the planet’s rebirth with be destroyed.
Main Quest
The Hero's quest is to restore the gecko civilization to their former glory, by unlocking their past, and cleansing the planet. The Hero must use hearsay, and the knowledge of Stroseis, to find seven different ancient temples. These temples, once activated, will rise from the ground, shining a beam of light toward the Great Tower, one of the only few above ground monuments. Once each of the temples cast their light, the Great Tower will open, revealing the Disk of Salvation. The disk, in legend, is said to be the key to saving the civilization. Though the prophecies do not specify how, the Hero must take the Disk and break it, spreading its components in a thin layer over the entire planet. This will rid the planet of the acidity, and make it much more habitable. Only after this quest is completed will the Hero find their quest bed, at the sight of the Great Cataclysm. The newly cleaned crater reveals a stone slab at the bottom, marked with the Symbol of the Hero.
Sorry the other lands are taking so long! I’m just trying to make the best quality stuff for you guys. I’ll try to have the next land out by this weekend.

LOHAI is an icy planet, with a flat, snowy landscape. Deep ravines divide continental glaciers. Platforms made of stone dot the barren landscape. Upon them are horns, much like the ones used for animal calls. When the certain horns are blown, the planet’s core will glow, which shows through the ravines. The weather on the planet is usually snowy, with occasional storms and strong winds. In the cold season, the storms are much more common, but in the warm season they are quite scarce. In the warm season, small surface lakes thaw, and frozen fish return from hibernation. There isn’t much soil on LOHAI, due to little erosion happening. The continents no longer shift because of the now cooled core. The thin, but breathable atmosphere keeps the planet cold.
Consorts
The consorts of this land are the dark blue turtles. They are a secretive society that doesn’t trust outsiders. They live in small nomadic clans, roaming the surface in search of food during the warm season, and hibernating in the cold season. For hibernation, every clan journeys to Apollo’s shrine. The shelter it provides keeps them warm enough to survive the cold season, and is the venue for celebrations afterwards. A deep well in the shrine leads far below the surface, to a cave where warm crystals grow. These crystals are mined, and brought up to the shrine. Each clan leader receives one, so they can start fires and keep their clan members warm. Each of the clans has a vault made of stone somewhere on the planet where they keep their history. These vaults can only be opened by the clan elders. The Hero must befriend the consorts, so they can unlock the planets lore. However, this may be difficult. The turtles move slowly and are very forgetful, due to their lack of nutrition, so it will take a lot of effort.
Denizen
The denizen of LOHAI is Apollo, a muscular male torso with a serpent’s tail and a flaming head. His facial features are obscured by the flames the surround him from the neck up, but his emotion can be seen in the way the fire moves and expands. His tail has scales in reds, oranges, and yellows, that reflect the light. He has a tattoo of a sun around his neck. He is kind and bold. He offers the Hero words of wisdom and comfort. He is also impatient, stubborn, and a risk taker. His lair is a stone cave, deep in one of the ravines. It is filled with the warm, glowing crystals, and other precious gems. His ultimate weapon is made of the warm crystals, and can start fires with ease. It changes depending on the Hero, but is generally some sort of polearm.
The Choice
Apollo’s task for the Hero is quite extreme. They need to fill the ravines, and bring Apollo to the surface, in exchange for his Light Essence, which is needed to light the forge in this circumstance. Apollo must be brought to the surface before the ravines fill with water, or he will drown.
Main Quest
The Hero’s quest is to ignite the planet’s core, and create a milder climate so life can thrive on the surface. To do this, the Hero must talk to the consorts, and learn their history, to find which horns they need to blow, and in what order. The correct tune will crack the ice in a certain area, which reveals a large bomb. This bomb needs to be taken to Apollo’s lair and activated to create enough energy to melt the core. The shift in the planet’s temperature will melt a lot of the ice, filling the ravines. The Hero’s quest bed is inside the bomb (much like the tumor), so the only way to find it is to complete the quest, or blow up the planet’s surface. The explosion, if placed right, will have enough force to send Apollo flying to the surface.
I’m not quite used to being active in the homestuck fandom, so I thought I’d give it a shot! Send me your land’s name or your God Tier title and I’ll describe your land to you.
What I’ll do:

If you have any existing ideas, or special session conditions let me know! I’d be happy to include them!
EDIT: I would also recommend sending in personality traits, fears, or aspirations along with you title or land! It’ll allow me to come up with a better quest for you. Thanks to @paradoxlands for pointing that out! (You should follow them btw they’re super cool.)
Just for a sample of what I’ll be doing, I thought I’d share my own land! Full description under the cut.
Description
The Land of Forests and Trust is made of rolling hills, with scarce mountains and lakes dotting the landscape. Lush forests are composed of greens and blues, a mix of vibrant and darker hues. A grand ocean spans the circumference of the planet, giving it a large stripe along the equator. The water in the ocean is a murky green, and reeks of toxic fumes. Most of the planet’s flora has gone dormant, waiting until the clean water returns to continue their growth. The soil, before the toxins were introduced, was great for farmland, though forests remained on the vast majority of the land. The purple soil ranges from bright magentas to deep violets.
Consorts
The planet’s inhabitants, the orange geckos, tend to fear the ocean. The geckos have two major factions, the North Kingdom and the South Kingdom. The two kingdoms are divided by the ocean, and are at war over the remaining clean water. They live in small villages, and are an agriculture based society.
Denizen
The protector of this land is Pax, the most peaceful of the denizens. She is has the top of a woman, minus arms, and the body of a serpent. She wears a top and belt made of olive branches, as well as a head piece. Though her eyes are blank, she can see. Her eyes can also sense emotion. Her lair is in a large cave that can only be accessed through a whirlpool. The floor of the cave is covered in water, except for a few large stepping stones and the grand platform that Pax rests on. The ceiling of the cave is covered in tree roots, which extend partly down the walls.
The Choice
Once the Hero has reached Pax, they are given The Choice. To advance in their quest, the Hero needs Pax to wake the other denizens, but Pax will only do this if the Hero promises to plant one of her olive branches in a far off land. If the Hero cannot accept the terms, then they may walk away, and return when they are ready. However, if the Hero accepts the conditions, but fails to keep them, the olive branch will shrivel and die, and release a potent sleeping gas that will envelop the entire planet it is currently on.
Main Quest
Pax’s minions set out to create a problem that only a worthy advocate for peace could solve. The toxins in the water are to be cleansed by the planet’s Hero, and only then will Pax’s lair, and the Hero’s quest bed, be revealed. In the process of cleaning the water, the Hero must unite the two kingdoms, and work with both of them to cleanse the planet.
