At my museums opening for our annual Youth Exhibit I sat in a plexiglass box for 3 hours and invited people to draw on it. It was weird and exciting and there was not enough breathing holes. At the end people were begging me to come out because my breaths were shallow and the entire box was filled with condensation. It was weird and kind of intimate because even though I was the one technically on display, people who interacted with it and drew seemed just as anxious and refused to make eye contact with me.
i don’t know if any of it had any meaning, but honestly it was just a somewhat experimental and fun experience.
Hey everyone. I made a zine about losing friends, getting your heart broken, and some other things that I’ve experienced in the past year that I thought I was above. Its up on gumroad as ‘pay what you want’ and I worked pretty hard on it, so if you want to read it you can here.
(You don’t have to pay for it, but any money given will go to my pre-college fund, and if you spend at least 15 dollars I’ll send you a physical copies with some Polaroids I took for the project. But mostly I just want people to read it!)

The '14 day rule' is a guideline that says scientists are only able to grow an embryo in vitro for 14 days, after which they have to terminate their experiment. Although we can learn a lot from the continued growth, there's lots of debate on whether the guideline should be extended or not due to different moral and ethical debates. Whatever line a person believes is too far to grow these cells, it's probably really hard to become invested in something so microscopic that can only exist for a finite amount of time.
