The first of the gang to die. What a silly boy.
He wept when he saw the line going into the Hagia Sophia.

people who call someone "culturally Christian (personal derogatory insult)" for being raised in a Christian hegemonic culture and celebrating a semi-secular Christmas but not believing in it, what do you expect us to do?
I personally don't like that a christian-based holiday is the big thing of the year, but it's also literally a huge part of secular culture in my country. If I suddenly started celebrating holidays from a culture I have no connection with, it would be called appropriation and I'd be considered a bigot for "stealing". If I just stopped celebrating every holiday touched by Christianity, there would be few, if any, left. Not even Valentine's day or Halloween. I'd have nothing. And I'm not going to convert to another religion just for the holidays.
Am I just supposed to abandon every part of my culture so that I'm not "culturally christian" or can we just accept that it's not a personal moral failing that my culture as an atheist was impacted by Christianity.
I have no issues about being ‘culturally Christian’. I acknowledge that I’m culturally Roman Catholic as I spent the first 18 or so years of my life steeped in RC traditions, customs, rituals and beliefs. I was a practising RC 🤷🏻♀️ It was what it was, and I have to say it contributed to the shaping of the person I am now.
