Update
To all those concerned, while the Thomas Fire did get dangerously close to forcing us to evacuate, and while it has played havoc a bit with our power and internet, its course has changed and we are no longer in any real danger.
I am alive and well. Keep on keepin’ on.
All spaghetti comes from cuts of the same original spaghetti strand. The original strand grows at about 2ft per week and is kept safe in the Vatican’s main vault.

I gotta ask for a source, because like... I have no idea how one could get exact (to the point 9′2.1′’) heights for any character save Bullroarer and possibly Merry and Pippin.
Also some of this just... doesn’t add up. Sure, Eomer isn’t his son but his nephew but why is Eomer 8 inches taller than Theoden? And why is Legolas 10 inches shorter than his own father?
Also like... what version of Sauron? The Necromancer? The Eye? Annatar? As his true incorporeal form as a Maiar?

sometimes settings... with more gain... are worse.
If you feel “left behind” or like you don’t measure up to people your age and what they’re doing with their lives, let me tell you something I just now realized about myself.
Life, and your progression through it, if you want to think of it as linear, is sometimes slow and sometimes fast and it can and will alternate. See, I was one of those people you probably look up to right now, who you compare yourself against. I was a published author at age 18. By 21 I was an award winning published author.
I’m 24 now, I haven’t published anything in 3-4 years, I’ve barely written anything in that time, at least so it seems. I’m virtually unemployed, have no college degree, and can barely do literally anything due to chronic illness, chronic pain, and mental illness.
People I knew when I was 18-21? By now some of them have master’s degrees. Others have salaries that are so high I can’t even conceive of that amount of money. Right now it’s I who feels surpassed, who feels left behind.
But the truth is, this isn’t a race, and I know that eventually things will pick up for me and suddenly I’ll be accomplishing a lot again, and the cycle will repeat.
So don’t worry about it. Your time will come. I promise.
okay don’t get me wrong, i often like my dad but our relationship is... let me put it this way. he’s currently an hour late getting home from work and i haven’t heard from him at all this afternoon and i’m thinking “man i hope he’s not dead because then i’ll have to do so much paperwork and make so many phonecalls”
