Complete Pokemon Trainer Animation! Lanimation? ... I’ll think about it.
Movement’s not the greatest. A little too bouncy at the end of the jump I think, but as a first full body animation I think it’s okay, and Pixel Art is quite the pain to animate with. It’s a somewhat unorthodox way to catch a pokemon but hey, not all of us live in a town with a generous Professor willing to part with 3 incredibly rare ones. We’ve gotta find some way to catch the first one.
A WIP animation. I wanted to try something a little crazier to see how well I’d do, so this is hopefully to be a Pokemon Trainer catching a wild pokemon in a somewhat unorthodox way. I hope to finish this off and fully colour and pixel-art it up along with the pokemon that is to be caught. And I'm sure I’ll change a lot about the kick and the jump, but I'm happy enough to post this WIP as I think it’s good to see unfinished animation. A lot of the arms are drawn on a separate layer and in a different colour just so I could distinguish them against the character... and the ball is currently green... so it stands out. Due to my issues with GIMP’s gif export last time I decided to just animate this at 10fps and avoid the hassle.
The Flour Sack. An animation classic. Just trying a simple wave. Not super happy with it. Don’t hate it either. Very annoyed at GIMP 2.8 which I use to turn the frames into a gif image which has decided to only allow frames to be 10ms long. No more, no less. Hopefully Krita will get some new animation export functions soon (if it doesn't already and I just haven’t noticed).
Brick Falling from a shelf.
Trying something with a little more weight and form than the ball. Couldn't help but add a little bit of squash and stretch though.
Ball Bouncing with decay.
Not super happy with the timing towards the end... or in general. Would be very nice if Krita could improve ability to quickly flick between frames. I’m not a huge fan of working with onion skinning constantly.
My first Bouncing Ball animation. Actually my first time playing with Krita’s new animation tools too, so I made it slime.
