[NEWS] Super Junior’s Leeteuk To Take Break From Activities After Receiving Surgery

Leeteuk is recovering from an emergency surgery for gallbladder inflammation.

On July 24, Label SJ revealed through an official statement, “Today at about 5 a.m., Leeteuk expressed severe abdominal pain and went to the hospital. He received the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis.”

Acute cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder. The condition required immediate action, so Leeteuk received surgery within the day and is currently resting.

To fully recover, Leeteuk will not participate in the SMTOWN concert in Osaka from July 28 through 30 and all other scheduled activities for the week.

Label SJ’s statement concludes, “We ask for the understanding of fans, and we will do our best for Leeteuk’s quick recovery and health.”
