I guess that’s it.
Almost reached 4 years on Tumblr. I was initially pressured into joining tumblr because I don’t like managing many different art sites. I found out though that there is a community of folks here who really dug what I was drawing. However, life is an adventure, art an exploration of ones own skills to convey life to a viewer. You cannot do that when someone decides that the message is too lewd. This is an understandable move for Tumblr, and they knew it would alienate a large group of their users.
As I was going through my old posts, deleting them, seeing just what was flagged vs what wasn’t, was pretty interesting. As you guys know I do pin-ups. That’s what the page is called after all. I consider that artistic nudity. I understand the removal of an image because a ‘gasp’ vagina has been shown. I guess I kind of understand it for a breast too, but the reality is that I just don’t want to tip-toe around rules to draw the things I want to draw. Can I make the art PG-13? Yeah. Do I want to? Sometimes. Is what qualifies as ‘artistic nudity’ variable? Absolutely. However, these are questions I’d rather not have to consider all of the time. If you like what I did here, hop on over to http://www.furaffinity.net/user/Lapinstein If you don’t want to do that, it’s cool. Thank you guys for your incredible support on the work you liked.
