Why are the Yin-Yang confessions so horrendous rn. Guys. Why are we fighting over the dumb symbol.

Im gonna state my dumb takes to try to counteract some of these guys.. okay.. okay

:Yin-Yang can be interpreted as Related and non related. Brian stated it himself that their relationship has no real world equalivant. But it's reasonable to come to the conclusion of them being related. MEANING you can see their relationship either way and it'll be equally valid. [Source it's literally on his Twitter, and sourced in wiki]

:Yin-Yang is one of the few reps that makes Systems feel validated. And is surprisingly good rep in season 3. I feel if you are interpreting them as Conjoined twins you watched the show with your eyes closed. (They literally have a headspace?? Theyre just constantly co fronting guys. Sure the Mindful positioning part isnt accurate but it makes a whole lot of sense in a system lens than whatever Conjoined twin nonsense you're spouting??) Let Systems have this small piece of rep, especially when the show spells it out in your face.

If you are trying to go against these claims with faulty evidence you are purposely being ignorant. Most of the stuff/evidence that suggests they're not a system is pretty season 3 and is irrelevant because of Animation Epic's drastic shift in writing for Yin-Yang to not make that as outwardly a sterotype. Especially when the team where all children/teenagers when these suggestions where made.

:Its valid to see them as a system and familiar! Familiar systems exist! (Crazy concept) And that's equally valid as the nonfamilar system headcaons. The problem is that A key part of Yin-Yangs ark is their plurality, and excepting themselves without repressing the other half in the process. Yin-Yang is written to be a mental illness coded character to the Point they're Parallels with Cabby later in season 3, both having the same plot points of being Ostracized by their teammates for not fitting the standard of a normal audience. Yin-Yang being seen as childish, dumb and reckless because of it. Which is relatable. While Cabby is Villanized for using a Aid. And told she doesn't need it.

Ignoring Yin-Yang's plurality dimishes and devalues Yin-Yangs ark (especially Yins) and it's positive impact as a whole. Even if the show didn't outright say 'Hey Yinyang is a system' its very clear in text. And even if there's technically nothing wrong with thinking Yin-Yang are Conjoined twins, I believe its a very surface level way to see their character. And gets rid of the nuisances and storytelling shown in their character.
