How well does the alpine directions hair dye work?

I am pretty pleased with it. It keeps it's intensity for 2 washes, then it starts to fade away and it's off completely in 6-8 washes. I have really dark hair(the upper part is my natural virgin color) and of course I had to bleach mine, but not completely, only to a medium/chestnut brown. I liked it.
