do you think the reason merlin always goes on quests etc is because one morning arthur goes out to leave on a patrol and merlin is sitting there on a horse eating an apple and arthur is like “??? what are you doing ???” and merlin just hands him his reins and goes “I brought snacks now let’s go prat” and rides off leaving arthur with no choice but to let him tag along
