and i know i sound like a whiny bitch about this, but how would YOU feel if u put countless hours into lore and developing ur selfships and inserts, only for people to ignore u, leave u out of things, and forget about u. it wouldn’t feel great, would it?
i have had to literally beg for attention in this fuckass community, time and time again, because i was never given the privilege of people flocking to learn about my ships.
and yeah ik no one’s obligated to interact, but i see everyone interacting with others a handful of times and rbing their stuff countless times, and it makes me wonder what the fuck i did to be so unimportant. to warrant this much ignorance from everyone.

@sumiensp I genuinely cannot express just how much this commission means to me. Like, at all. It's not commonplace for me to get any kind of marriage anything - commission, fanfic, writing, any of that. It's not something I regularly engage with or usually feel comfortable with. But this was just absolutely breath-taking, mind-boggling... I cannot put this into words properly. No fun little blurb of writing, no "what are the vows" like I planned to. I came home from work, looked at this and was genuinely so incredibly moved by it!

Venti smiled seemingly pleased with himself as he rearranged the flowers on the meadow once again; making them sway gently afterwards with his Anemo Vision. "Mhm.. this seems great for my dandelion.", he mumbled with a soft smile while caressing the underside of a Cecilia.
The Anemo God heard soft steps on the grass approaching him, which made him look up just to gaze into the eyes of his dandelion -- his beloved. "Aha!~ there you are, hehe, was wondering when you'll finally arrive.", he immediately latched onto Artemis, hugging them tightly.
"Look, look what I did~ I made sure the flowers are blooming to the fullest they can currently!~ you deserve all the beauty and the best, Artemis.", Venti left a soft kiss onto their cheek which made them smile. "But Venti, why did you do all of this?", they asked quite confused then; which made Ventis heart flutter. Oh they're so adorable..
"Today is Artemis Day!~ Artemis as in the Goddess.. and you're a divinity to me too, my beloved. I love you so dearly..", he gently took their hand into his own as he guided the both of them to gently lay down on the grass -- enjoying the day together.

this au is a horror folklore au, inspired by the original versions of disney fairytales
venti is a lone hunter living on the outskirts of a forest, surrounded by fields. on the other side of the fields is a small village, and the people there are acquainted with him, as he sells the game he hunts to them
he’s infamously known as “the recluse living near the cursed wood” and has been living alone in his cabin since his village burned to the ground a millennia ago
he’s been slowly losing his emotions and becoming more and more numb / apathetic as the years pass. not only due to immorality but also bc of his loneliness
artemis is born from a human family in a village that offers up human sacrifices to please an ancient beast that would then bless the village until the next sacrifice had to be chosen
their parents pass not long after their birth due to illness and lilith takes over as their caretaker, raising them with a harsh and controlling hand and forcing them to adhere to traditional gender roles
pleased by artemis’ “purity,” the beast demands for them to be the next sacrifice. stubborn as they are, artemis refuses and fights for their freedom while plotting revenge
they set the village aflame and watch as everything goes down with them. if they couldn’t have a chance at life, no one else could either. with that, they greet death happily
upon their death, they became an immortal stag spirit and took the place of that ancient beast that they had been sacrificed to. the unfortunate truth is that this has been a recurring cycle in this village for thousands of years. a maiden would be chosen (someone deemed "pure") and sacrificed to an immortal beast. upon being sacrificed, the maiden would become a beast themselves, and the old beast would finally meet their end. a life for a life
however, since artemis stopped the cycle by bringing everyone down with them, they are now immortal. they sacrificed their own mortality just to get revenge on those who wronged them. they cursed themselves to a lonely life as a beast for all eternity, never to find rest in the afterlife, bc they will never be able to reach it
they lose all memories of their past life as a human once becoming a beast, except for the fact that they used to be one. they don’t have the ability to change into a human, either. they are forever stuck in the body of a stag
some thousands of years later, artemis is known by the surrounding villages as “the ancient beast that haunts the wood.” they become a patron “god” of sorts that has cursed anyone who attempts to hunt deer, resulting in hunters changing their prey targets
venti is well over a thousand yrs old now. although he knows the legend of the immortal stag, he doesn’t heed the warnings and ends up accidentally “killing” artemis one day. he drags the body back to his cabin, where his neighbors witness this and scramble away bc of the curse that revolves around hunters killing deer
he chops of artemis’ head and hangs it on his wall like a trophy. artemis later regrows their head and wanders into venti’s house. feeling a tiny bit of remorse for his actions (though not much), he gives them a meal and allows them to stay. eventually, artemis takes a liking to him
artemis can’t talk, and venti isn’t much of a talker in this au either, so they have a sort of telepathic way of speaking to one another
venti is like that creepy old man that lives in a beat up house that everyone assumes is a criminal, but he's just exhausted and introverted and actually kind…. sometimes. he’ll let others into his home and cook them a hearty meal, but their stay is never welcomed and he prefers to be by himself
the two coexist in peace, with venti going about his life and artemis visiting from time to time. it’s up to u guys whether or not they are able to find a way to gain their human form back, as the ending is ambiguous and i’d like to leave that option up to everyone who indulges in this au
BONUS THOUGHTS:
if this were a show or a movie, it’d be narrated by a younger more naive version of venti
it’d have minimal music, maybe some slow lingering notes here and there but nothing loud or frequent - to really sell that “horror” vibe i’m going for
instead of music, it’d mostly be sounds. like the crunching of leaves, chirping of birds, wind howling, wheat blowing in the wind, water rushing from a stream, doors creaking loudly, footsteps against hardwood, trees creaking, branches snapping, blood gurgling - all of that. just atmospheric stuff to make it more eerie
there wouldn’t be much talking either, except for the occasional narration
most of venti’s scenes would be close to silent, with only sound effects and utilizing nature and things around him to make melodies/music. basically involving natural sounds into the scenes instead of studio music
artie’s scenes would involve a little music, either studio or live instruments, since they’re an ethereal ancient beast and a completely different entity from venti
that’s what makes this symbolic - venti is a human who gained immortality and still lives as one, so the sounds around him are more natural. artemis was a human turned into a beast against their own will, possessing immortality by their own hand and being revered as a legend, so the sounds for them are less natural and more artificial/inorganic
in a way, they’re kind of bringing music into venti’s life after they meet
