we'll be together forever, ❥
"Yeah, yeah, I know it’ll get really expensive," The boy chuckled quietly, rolling his eyes, "But I really don’t mind spending all of my money on you. Cause it would totally be worth it. Honestly, ————- whatever you want, I’ll get you." The boy nodded, being completely serious about what he was saying to her. The two of them kissed briefly, but it was enough for the boy to shut up. No matter how much the girl would insist on paying for things during the wedding, Austen would 100% do it. He was going to pay for everything, even if that meant using every last penny he had. Austen watched as Melissa and Faith talked to each other about what they had both done today whilst Austen had stayed at home preparing everything. This gave the boy some time to take out his phone from his pocket, and send a few text messages to his other family members, telling them the good news about him and Melissa. The boy was ecstatic, so happy that this time, ———- everything was going to go to plan. Before it had all be done too quickly and it was obvious that neither of them were ready, but now it was different. It was a completely different situation, a time that they could both spend their time doing this properly. Once Faith had ran out of the room and presumably into her own to get changed into her new clothes, the boy cupped the girls face with his hands. "I love you so fucking much too, Melissa." His whispered against her lips, using his thumb to stroke the girls cheek. "God, ——- I really do love you Mel, more than anyone."
No matter how hard she was trying, the smile just wouldn't leave her lips. He just had made her the happiest woman on this planet once again, and that meant so much more to her than he could even imagine. "Even more than Faith?", she asked teasingly, knowing it was somehow a really dumb question since he loved the girl to death too; even though she wasn't his biological daughter. Once she heard little Faith's footsteps coming closer once again, she pressed her lips against his real quick before she let go off him completely, cheering for Faith who was just entering the room, acting as if she was a model. "Uhh babygirl you look really fabulous in that!", Melissa spoke, almost a bit over dramatically before her gaze went over to Austen, a big grin on her face as she was waiting for him to comment on their daughter's outfit too. Pulling Faith closer to her, the brunette lifted her up, placing Faith on her lap. "Do you want to show daddy more or are you too tired?" It had been a really long day for the little girl and Melissa knew that. On their way back home, Faith had almost fallen asleep and couldn't stop yawning. She only got excited again when she saw her father. Looking down at Faith, Melissa caught her rubbing her eyes — and that was enough answer for her. "Come on, I'm gonna bring you to bed.", she muttered, wrapping her arms around Faith so she could stand up without dropping the little girl. As she walked out of the room, she turned her head to Austen once again, "I'll be back in a second."

He was happy that she didn’t mind wearing one of his t-shirts, however he was a little worried as he didn’t know what she’d be able to wear tomorrow when they went out. Would she have to borrow some of his things? He pushed the thought to the back of his mind, deciding not to worry about it anymore for today, he’d leave it till tomorrow. She stepped closer to him, and in all honesty, he was a little confused as to what she was doing. Her next action shocked Aaron more than anything, he never thought that she would kiss him, he was so confused. What was this supposed to mean? Did this kiss even mean anything at all to her? His arms moved around her waist, pulling her body towards his and he didn’t want to stop kissing her at all. He pouted as she pulled away briefly, “Mel..I missed you so much too —- so fucking much.” He murmured before Melissa joined their lips again for a sweet, gentle and loving kiss. They were moving backwards now, heading straight for the bed. He knew exactly what was going to happen and he wasn’t going to stop it at all. It was so stupid of him —- they had gone from complete awkwardness to this. He bit down on her bottom lip, dragging it out gently with his teeth before letting go. He ran a hand through her hair, looking down over her, observing her beauty properly for the first time in what felt like forever to him. “Did you get even more beautiful since last time I saw you?” He laughed softly, placing small kisses on her jawline.
"No but...I think you got hotter.", a small giggle came from her lips, followed by a quite moan. She had missed him. His touches were different than any other men's touches. It was probably because she loved him, that made all the difference. Her hands were tugging on the hem of his shirt now, wanting to pull it off really badly. It wasn't as if Melissa was despereate for sex, no; she was only desperate for him. She had lived without him for so long and now she just had to take the opportunity. Though she hoped that Aaron wouldn't get it wrong and think that they were together right away. Pulling off his shirt now, she smirked at the view. "And I thought you for sure didn't have time to go to the gym when you're alone with Faith.", a small giggle escaped her lips once again as her hands were tracing over his abs, smirking at the view in front of her. Her hands had soon enough reached his jeans, tugging on them slightly; like a little kid who wanted to open a box of candy. They've had sex so many times, but still, this time was special. "I love you.", she whispered before her lips joined his once again. This was probably going way too fast, and Melissa for sure hadn't planned it, but it didn't matter. With Aaron, Melissa was convinced that anything could happen and well, that really was the case.

"I thought it might’ve been a good idea…I don’t know." He shrugged, smiling. He was glad that she finally took his hand, it would’ve been so awkward for him if she had just ignored his offer to take his hand, and went upstairs ahead of him. He gave her hand a small squeeze and pulled her upstairs, breathing deeply. It felt so weird to hold her hand, since they hadn’t had any type of contact in such a long time. It was weird to have her here, in the same house together. "It’s not a problem, seriously, it would’ve just been easier for you to stay here since we’re going out with Faith tomorrow." He stated, lifting his other hand and running a hand over his face gently. He was so tired, and probably as soon as he’d shown Mel to her room, he’d check on Faith and go to sleep almost straight away. There really was no point in being in angry at her anymore, she was sorry for doing what she did, but she had to do it for herself, to get away from everything. He wasn’t really paying attention to anything until Melissa had started speaking again, asking for something to wear. Admittedly, her Mom had taken them away when Aaron had lied and said that Melissa didn’t want the clothes anymore. "Your mom took your clothes…kinda, but I can lend you one of my t-shirts, I hope that’s okay?" He asked her, letting go of her hand and walking out the room and going to his room to grab a shirt out the closet. He picked a slightly baggy t-shirt and went back to Melissa, handing it over to her and their hands brushed each other again, causing Aaron to feel something in him that he hadn’t felt in a long time. "I hope this is alright…" He whispered, biting on his bottom lip.
Melissa smiled as she took the shirt from him. What was this between them? There was some kind of tension, but not in a bad way. And just as their hands touched again, and Melissa watched his facial expression, Melissa couldn't resist it anymore. Quickly stepping closer to him, her arms soon enough wrapped aroundhis neck and the brunette's lips brushed against his. Damn, it felt so good to feel his lips on hers once again. But was this the right thing to do? Melissa didn't care just in this moment. All she cared about were his lips against hers and nothing else mattered anymore to her. Pulling away fro a brief second, she bit down her lower lip. "I missed you.", she whispered, her lips joining his right away after she finished her sentence. The girl couldn't help herself anymore, Aaron had this special effect on her and she for sure wouldn't stop anymore now. She wanted him. More than anything. The brunette took a few steps back, pulling Aaron with her. Her legs soon enough met the bed and she let herself fall down on it, Aaron still on top of her. This feeling was just amazing. Sure, she had had plenty of sex while she was gone, but nothing compared to what she had with Aaron. His loving was still the best, and finally being able to touch him again and to feel his hands on her skin; it made her feel really good for the first time today.

He slapped his forehead lightly with his hand, shaking his head and fighting the urge to just burst out into laughter. “Mel, we have a spare room. I was gunna show you to the spare room so you could sleep in there, rather than sleeping with me, since I knew you wouldn’t want to sleep with me straight away or anything.” He told her honestly, and began to laugh softly. He placed his fingers under her chin, lifting her head up so that she would look directly at him. He didn’t want her to avoid direct eye contact with him, that would annoy him. He wasn’t a little fragile boy that would break into pieces if you looked at him for saying something hurtful —- he really wasn’t that weak. “I didn’t mean to make you think that we were going to sleep together in the same bed, I just wanted to take you upstairs and show to the room.” He apologised and smiled at her, keeping his hand out to her, hoping that she would take it. As bad as it was, he didn’t really want her to be that close to Faith straight away —- even if she was her real mom. Aaron just wanted Melissa to slowly make her way back into Faith’s life, just like how she was going to slowly make her way back into Aaron’s at some point. However, he wouldn’t tell Mel this, just in case she’d get upset and think he was trying to keep her away from Faith.
Melissa shook her head, laughing slightly about herself. "I didn't know that you put a bed in there.", she mumbled, looking up at him once again. How stupid was she? Of course he wouldn't want her that close right away. Grabbing his hand now, she got up, a small smile on her face. She didn't necessary wanted to sleep with Faith, though she'd have loved it, a little bit more space was always better. "Thank you for letting me stay here anyway.", she spoke, smiling up at him as he lead her towards the stairs. It was weird being here again. And Melissa was sure that it didn't only feel that way to her, Aaron must have felt just as weird as she did. And letting her stay here was just a big move from him. The brunette didn't expect him to welcome her like this in his house, but she was grateful that he did. Going home now would have just made her feel somehow bad. Even if she could have come again tomorrow morning, it felt better to stay. Walking into the spare room, she looked around. She remembered the room, but she didn't know there was a bed in it. "Can I maybe get a shirt or something from you? I don't really want to sleep in these clothes.", she smiled, looking down on herself before her eyes found their way to Aaron's once again. "I mean...maybe there are even still some clothes from me here?"

"Of course she wouldn’t cause me any troubles, she’s my little angel." He said to her as a small smile spread across his face, thinking about Faith upstairs. He was a little shocked when she asked him to stay here for the night, not really expecting her to say that she wanted to stay. It was better than her leaving again, so Aaron decided to let her stay here for the night. "Yeah…sure, you can stay here. I mean, technically this is still your house." He said coolly, running a hand through his hair and looking around slowly, trying not to feel anxious. She hadn’t stayed in this house for a while and when he thought about, the place hadn’t changed at all since she had left. He wondered if she just wanted to stay here because of Faith, or maybe she wanted to stay here because of Aaron too…He snapped back into reality, looking at Melissa as she suggested going to the zoo or something along the lines of the zoo, tomorrow with Faith. "I’d like that. That’d be really nice. I haven’t taken her in a while, I think she’d like that too." He told her, his smile growing wider as he pictured them being a happy family. Sure, they were anything but a happy and normal family, but he didn’t care. Any chance that he could spend with Melissa and Faith, he was going to grab the opportunity and cherish it. "C’mon, we should get an early night if were gunna go out tomorrow." He stood up from the couch, placing his hand to Melissa and hoping that she’d take his hand.
Melissa bit down her lip as Aaron held out his hand for her to take. Did he want her to sleep in the same bed as he did? The brunette wasn't too sure if that was a good idea or not. "Are you sure us sleeping together is...a good idea?", she questioned, a apologizing look on her face. "I mean, I haven't been here for a few years and I just came back, don't you think that's a bit...fast?" There was no doubt that she still loved him, but getting back into her old life immediately after she came back? No, that just couldn't work out right. Melissa felt bad for having to deny him now. She just came back and she knew that Aaron had more than just missed her, but she couldn't do it. She didn't come back to just slip back in her old life as if nothing had ever happened. It wasn't right and Melissa wouldn't do it. "To be quite honest, I think I should better sleep on the couch...or with Faith.", she mumbled, her eyes now set on her hands. She just couldn't manage to look up at him in this situation; it already hurt her enough. "Would you be okay with that?"
- - - - its been so long
"I know you are, Mel, it’s okay, I really do understand." He nodded and accepted her apology. He didn’t really went to dwell on this anymore —- every time he thought about how alone he had been for those 3 years, it made him feel horrible. There was an unfamiliar feeling in the pit of his stomach and it was uncomfortable everytime it occurred, he didn’t want to remember the feeling. He just wanted it to go away forever and never have to feel it again. He kept his arm around Melissa, not wanting to let go of her. He felt comfortable and happy that she was here, and if she was going to go again, he wanted to cherish what time he had with her, he needed to spend time with her. "She’s been an angel…Seriously. I love her to pieces." He breathed out, smiling and thinking about all the good times that he had shared with Faith. He treated her exactly like she was his own blood daughter, he loved her more than anything. "I…I don’t think she would’ve forgotten you. I mean, why would she? I know it’s been a while. But she wouldn’t have forgotten her own Mom." He said quietly. "You know, you can have her whenever you want to have her. I just…I didn’t want her out of my life because…She’s as close as a real daughter I’ll ever get." He blinked a few times, hugging Melissa as tightly as he could. It had been so long since they had any physical contact what so ever and of course, Aaron missed it. He missed her, she was his whole world and when she had gone, he didn’t know what to do with himself.
"I'm glad she didn't cause you any troubles.", Melissa chuckled slightly. As if her little angel could cause anyone trouble. Faith was just too peaceful and Melissa had no clue where she had gotten that from. Neither, her or Jaxon, were as peaceful as little Faith was. "Can I stay here? Just for tonight. I want to be close to my daughter." Excuses, excuses. Faith was already asleep and for sure wouldn't wake up until tomorrow. "And maybe...maybe we can go to the zoo with her tomorrow? Does she even like that?", Melissa honestly didn't know what her daughter liked and what not. But which little kid didn't like the zoo? Looking up at Aaron, something like fear was in her eyes. What if she couldn't handle Faith anymore? If Faith much rather spend time with Aaron? It somehow was weird but maybe her and her daughter could bound again like that. At the end of the day, she still loved Faith to death and that would never change, no matter for how long and for what reason she had been gone. And also, she wanted to spend some time with Aaron. She hadn't seen him for so long, her feelings never faded and spending time with him would be something nice too. "Would you like that?", she questioned, not knowing if he even wanted to come with her. If not, she'd just ask Keaton to come with her. After all, he hadn't seen his own niece in ages too.

Aaron listened to Melissa as she explained everything, the reasons as to why she had left Faith with him, why she had to leave him. He tried to understand all of her reasons, but he just couldn’t help but still be upset that she had left him. He had wanted just some sort of note or something from her, telling him that she was alright. He had been so worried when she was gone, what if she had been hurt? He would’ve never forgave himself if she had gotten hurt and he didn’t do enough to try and find out where she had gone. “I just…Mel, I wish you had at least told me that you were safe. I was so worried, what if something had happened to you and I didn’t know?” He admitted to her, biting down onto his bottom lip, staring at Melissa in the eyes, the first proper eye contact that they had actually had since she had stepped through the door that evening. “Your mom helped for a while, but I guess she thought that you came back eventually because she stopped helping and I never actually talked to her about you vanishing out of nowhere.” He sighed quietly, closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose. “I probably shouldn’t have proposed to you straight after having Faith, I just didn’t want to lose you. I’m sorry.” He apologised to her, for rushing her and making her make her mind up so quickly, he should have waited until they were older. Aaron couldn’t believe that he didn’t notice that she wasn’t ready yet, that she was just too stressed with everything else, moving on so quickly with her life. He felt more than bad for not being there for her enough.
"I'm just really sorry.", the brunette admited, looking up at the boy. She sat up, not wanting to bother him with being so close to him right away. They needed time to get closer again. "I didn't want to leave you alone with Faith...I mean, she isn't your daughter and it was really a lot to expect from you to take care of her while I'm gone. Leaving her was...it was hard. You don't know how long i stood beside her bed, just watching her before I left.", Melissa shook her head, her voice being a bit croaky as she looked down at her hands which were placed in her lap. "I just...I wanted to stay so bad but it was too much. It was hard enough leaving. If I'd have written a note and wrote everything down why I left...I couldn't have." Melissa now looked over at him. She didn't know what to say anymore. It was all that she could tell him. If she'd have kept on talking, she would only repeat herself anyways. "How was Faith doing?", the brunette questioned. She felt bad for leaving her little daughter and every day she was wondering how she was doing. Did she cry a lot? Did she miss her mom? Probably. But she eventually forgot about it after some time. But the thing Melissa really regreted was not being able to watch her grow. Sure, she was only three and Melissa would be able to spend many more years watching her litle girl grow up. But she missed some important things. She missed her first steps, her first words...basically her first everything. But at least she had Aaron. Sure, he wasn't her real dad but now that he even had adopted her, he was her dad. And Melissa really could tell that the little girl loved him to death. She had no other choice anyway, Faith just had to love him since he probably was the only person who had always been around her. But Melissa hoped that Faith would forget that she wasn't here. That once she was older, it would seem as if her mother had always been there for her and never left her alone. Because that was what she probably really should have done. Even though Melissa didn't regret leaving since it only made her recover, she regreted not being with her daugther.
"Is it my turn to flash you now?"
"Well I need to decided if I should choose you or not, so..."
"Aw, damn. How am I supposed to compete with older guys? Come on."
"You know, at the end of the day, I always choose a guy with a big dick over an older guy."
- - - - it's been so long
As Melissa came down the stairs, she ran the last few stairs and pounced on top of him, wrapping her arms around his neck and resting her head on his chest. It had been so long since they had been like this with each other, he had been aching for her —- he was going to make this moment as long as he possibly could, he didn’t want it to end. With the pad of his thumb, he gently wiped away the tears that had now began to cascade down her face, it was heartbreaking to see her cry, it always had been. “I love you too, Mel.” He whispered back to her, reassuring her that he had never stopped loving her, and that he always would, no matter what. He pulled her closer to his body, wrapping his arms around her waist. He stroked her hair as she sobbed into his chest quietly. “I won’t forget it. I love you so much too, I always have and always Mel, you know that. I’ve always loved you and nobody else. You’re my favourite girl.” He murmured, moving his hand from her head to her back and stroked her back soothingly. Any anger or pain that had been present in him before, had vanished in an instant, he just wanted Melissa to know that he’d always be there for her.
There were so many things unsaid, but Melissa just couldn't talk about these things just about now. The most important thing was what they were talking about now anyway. "I wanted to call you every damn day.", the brunette started as she had calmed down slightly. "But I couldn't, Aaron. If I'd have heard your voice, I'd have come back immediately and...I just felt like I couldn't go back to this life.", a few quiet sobs escaped her lips. "I only came back now because Keaton assured me that everything would be alright and...I just missed you and Faith too much.", at the end of her sentence, her voice was only a whisper, nothing more. There was too much happening right now. And even though Melissa didn't want to slip back into her old life right again, being so close to Aaron and knowing that he still loved her felt good. It would have killed her if she'd have come back seeing Aaron with a new girl which her daughter probably called 'mommy'. It would have killed her, and she'd have left right away once again. But this time, with her baby. "I'm sorry that I left you alone with Faith. I'm sorry that I didn't say a word to you...Though my mom promised me she'd help you the best she could, I was always worried. But then again, when I asked her to help you, I told her I'd only be gone for two weeks and you'd know about it."
- - - - it's been so long
Shit, shit, shit. She saw me, he thought to himself, mentally slamming his head against the wall. “O-okay, yeah, she does. Thanks.” He mumbled quietly, looking away from her so he didn’t have to have direct eye contact with her. It had become extremely awkward between the two of them and he sighed with relief when Melissa took Faith upstairs to put her to sleep, he really needed to think of something to say to her, a good excuse as to why he was crying. Either that, or he hoped that Melissa wouldn’t bring it up so he didn’t have to talk about it all. He paced back and forth in the kitchen, feeling very anxious. He bit down hard on his bottom lip, causing it to start to bleed. He cursed under his breath and walked into the living room, falling back onto the couch and waited for Melissa to come back downstairs. Now that Faith was asleep, they would probably have to have a proper conversation about everything. He didn’t really want to have that conversation, he knew he would probably snap at her, no matter how much he would try not to, he didn’t want to hurt her feelings. But she had left him, and he had been so lonely, apart from the occasional visit from his brothers and sister, Keira, Aaron hadn’t been out of the house unless he really needed to. He just honestly hadn’t seen the point in going out whatsoever.
When Melissa came back, she found Aaron on the couch in the living room. Damn, he hadn't changed a thing about the house, everything was still the same. In this moment, when she saw him like this, she just couldn't help herself. Melissa ran the last few meters to the couch, wrapping her arms around his neck, her body next to him on the chouch and her head resting on his chest. She couldn't help it, it was intuition. "I love you.", she whispered as tears were starting to run down her cheeks. Her mind was totally blank just in this second. Melissa knew that she should talk to him, that she needed to explain more but it wasn't possible in this second. "I love you so much, please never forget that.", she mumbled in between sobs. There was no way to explain what she felt for him and why exactly she had left back then. She just couldn't tell him more than she already and if it wasn't enough, Melissa couldn't say anything more.
"So you haven’t got a thing for older guys. Good to know."
"I do have a thing for older guys! Just not for one's with gray here and saggy skin....everywhere."
