he will talk to you about whatever new issues came out this week, and, he will get so so into it - he'll just ramble on and on. then when he's finished he'll take a deep breath and go 'so what do you think about it ?' because yes. he will one way or another - make you read comics, and you will have to form an opinion about it
but he will debate with you about it if he doesn't agree (though he does restrain himself because he is trying to be better at regulating his emotions but he will admit that he has to catch himself and tell himself to take a deep breath when you say something that is - to him an 'utter shit take'). but he likes it - kinda - it's cute to see you defend your opinion and he likes being able to share his interest with you and talk with you about it (even if he kinda forced you into that)
the first times you came over to his home, he spent most of that times showing you his collection - a huge grin on his smile as he did (so you couldn't quite tell him that you didn't care about it).
he definitely loves it when you come to the shop where he works at toward the end of his shift so you two can hang out afterwards. what he doesn't quite like is when you saw him 'debate' with customers - he isn't as kind with them as he is with you. he somewhat worries that it'll impact negatively your vision of him, he looks at you like a beaten puppy and tells you 'but this dude said this ... i couldn't let it slide ... i'm not usually like this with customers !' (he is. kinda. though he is trying to change his attitude and get less argumentative ! he has been improving ... slowly but surely !)
he totally research and read about your biggest interest too, even if it something he doesn't care about because he knows that you put up with his rambling about what he likes, he wants you to be able to do the same with him ! (there is nothing like talking to your partner about your favorite interest after all)
bonus : if you do cosplay / like it, he is so making you cosplay his favorite character/a character that he feels like suit you (he will pay for the cosplay ... don't ask how he got the money. he will pay) and he will fangirl over you. maybe he'd be willing to do a couple cosplay too ... you'd have to convince him (just a little bit, he is quite weak when it comes to you).
Dennis takes you to a pottery date - expect pottery is not exactly his strong suit.
Dennis is so the type to ask you out on a date to a pottery - cafe place because he got told by Trinity that it was a fire first date (though he doubted how efficient it was, as a fair amount of the dishes at their places was from said pottery first dates that trinity went on).
So he does ask you out to one ! Expect he doesn't know it reads as 'dude trying too hard and being performative' at first.
What he forgot about though was that he doesn't shit about pottery. he was never a big art guy, sure drawing could be fun but creating the arts wasn't his thing, he far preferred going to a museum (but he figured it was a 'lame' date, that what his brothers told him when he was younger at least).
Once the date happens, he finally realize his mistake as he is faced with a blob of clay and he doesn't know what to do. He looks over at you and ask what you plan to do - a plate. He smiles and tell you he'll do one too. You put forth the idea of making them match - so that you'd both come out of this date with matching plates, because isn't that adorable ?
Dennis then look back at his blob of clay, clueless as how to make it become ... a plate. But surely it can't be that hard right ? No. It is hard. He tries to copy what you are doing, because you look so sure and does it so easily - but he can't seems to copy exactly what you are doing.
You two talk while shaping the clay, and he can't help but get distracted by your voice and how invested you are in the anecdotes you are telling him. He finds himself entranced by you.
This sadly causes his plate to look quite ... wonky ? It's weirdly small (he made sure to take a big blob of clay, he was no clues how it lost half of it's side), and he tries to make it round like yours but it ended up more in a square shape than anything.
When he sees you bite down a smile at seeing his plate, he frowns a bit - because surely you're going to think he's lame now ...
"I'm sorry I guess I am really not good at pottery haha ..." he says, though you can heard in his voice that he feels embarrassed.
"It's okay Den. It's cute! Even if it's a bit off." you tell him with a smile.
He hums, still looking back and forth between your and his plate.
"Plus it could not be fair for you to be good at pottery you know !" you add.
"Why ?" he throws you this look of his that screams 'what the fuck are you in'.
"Because you're a doctor duh. That's already a lot to be a doctor, you're a good one too, so you can't possibly also be good at pottery. It couldn't be fair otherwise, cosmic balance and what not."
He chuckles, and a small blush appear on his cheeks, "Suure okay if you say so ..." he says as he rolls his eyes good heartedly.
You two ended up leaving your plates to get fired - you were told to come back later in the week to get them back.
"Den ... what if when we get them back, we painted them." you said as you two were walking down the street from the shop, "it could be a cute painting date ?"
Dennis stopped in his tracks as you said that, "I'd love that."
He cringes at himself, for answering so fast, but he was just so happy that you wanted a second date with him.
"Great ! I'll send you a text to plan it okay ?"
He nodded very eagerly.
"So ... are you walking me home or ?" you ask with a grin.
"If you want me to."
"I want you to." As you said that, you grabbed his hand and interlaced his fingers with yours.
Dennis felt his face get oh so warm.
Maybe Trinity was right, a pottery date was a fire first date.

Scott has no particular qualm around you being a regular human, he loves you just as you are, and nothing can change that. That said, Scott cannot help himself but be, patronising at time. In his mind, you being a human just make you be at risks, you can't defend yourself if you get attacked, by others humans or mutants. He doesn't view you as weak, but, he know how fleeting life is. He isn't the greatest at expressing his feelings, and notably his worry for you.
He will also be more protective than if he was with a mutant. And it show in him being at first very against you befriending any others x-men, he very much care for most of them and he loves you very much, but he doesn't want to have those two part of his life mix up. He doesn't want you to get in dangers because of his job, but he also doesn't want you to possibly endanger one of his mission, he wasn't capable of choosing between you and one of his mission. Not to say, you are as or more important than his mission, but he was responsibilities as a X-Men and he cannot forget about them. But that said, with enough asking and pleading, making him crack and let you meet his friends and fellow X-Men.
Talking about you interacting with mutants, Scott will not let any remarks about you - well not being one - slide. He knows and understand why his friends may feel wary of humans, he get it, but you are different. You are quite literally dating him - a mutant, it couldn't make any sense for you to be against them. Scott may let it slide the first time actually, but anymore than that, and he's making them do extra session in danger room - or they aren't allowed in it, depending on who.
In general, there isn't that much of a different between how he treat his mutant or non-mutant partner, he just will be more protective and worried for them. He doesn't feel particularly insecure in your relationship - because of his mutation or your lack of mutation.
Again, he doesn't have any problems with you not being a mutant - he more so has problem being a mutant, not in general of course, but in your relationship yes. Peter can't really give an answer as to why, but if he had to guess it was probably due to this father, and the fact that he didn't want to do anything like his father did, to you. The worst is, he know damn well he isn't anything like him but he can't help but think that way.
He feels like he's going to mess your relationship up, because of what he is. He try to play it off as if it was nothing, but it's a feeling that lingers in the back of his mind often. He never truly wished to be a regular human before, and he still doesn't, but he just want your relationship to be more normal. Which isn't really possible. Peter knows that, he also knows that you don't care, about that kind of thing.
He can mask his doubts and awful self-confidence with his quirky attitude, he can fool most people pretty easily - expect you. At some point, it get to point, where you have to sit down with Peter and try to have a conversation about it, at first he will just act dumb and pretend he doesn't get what you are talking about, but his facade cracks relatively fast.
You listen, his fears and doubts. You comfort him, and assure him, that everything is fine, you reassure him that weither your relationship is 'normal' or not it's the last of your problem. You love him, he loves you and that all that matter in your eyes.
Now, Kurt could be the one that has the most difficulty dating someone that is not a mutant. He could be scared to hurt you more than anything. He's stressing out about doing or saying the worst thing, that will just break everything. One of the reason why he is friend, with his friends is because they share at least one thing - they can all relate on one crucial part of their identity - them being mutant, it's one thing that link them all together and make it at least a little bit easier to connect. You lacking that, make it hard for him. He still loves you all the same of course, but he feels like not being able to share something so crucial is sad.
So he desperately try to make it up in some way, he looks everything he can about your interests to be able to share that with you, everytime you share something about your interests Kurt will make mental note of it. And he will share a lot about what interest him in return. If you speak an another language that he doesn't know, he'll try to learn it, after all what is better than learning the language of your lover! Kurt can even teach you some german if you want to!
He wants something to link the two of you together even more. It's something he heavily crave. To be linked to you, by more than just, your love for each others.
Kurt may feel insecure at time, that you may leave him for well, a regular human, that isn't blue, has five fingers on each hands - he will try to keep it to himself, but he isn't really good at that. His insecurity just overflow and he end up offhandedly asking you while you are hanging out, if you could prefer to be dating a human rather than him. Obviously, you tell him that you don't, and ask where did this idea came from. He feels reluctant to admit as to why he asked. He feels, ashamed ? After seeing your reaction, he feels a bit silly, and even more when you comfort him and tell him that you very much prefer and could always choose to date him more than anyone else just because they are human.
On a more happy note Kurt loves seeing how amazed you are by his mutation, you never really were around mutants before - there isn't actually a ton of opportunity to meet mutants and to know that they are mutants, even if antis mutant politicians like to make people believe the contrary - most humans he met, weren't exactly thrilled by his, but you are the exactly opposite. Even after being together for a while and getting used to his mutation, there is still this curiosity and shine in your eyes when he teleport for example.
He is by far, the most chill about your relationship and you not being a mutant while he is. Well, that is if we are talking about Hank, after he accepted his entire mutation and all, which we are, Hank pre-self acceptance is different deal.
But once, Hank is settled as a scientific and has member of the X-Men, and has fully accepted his mutation, he doesn't personally really care. But sadly, a lot of people seemingly do and that's one thing that annoy him. The worst is it come from both fellow mutants, even his friends and colleagues sometime! And from regular humans. He doesn't really get why people care about him dating a non-mutant or you dating him - a mutant.
He personally try to not let it get to him, and if it does he will do everything but make you suffer because of it. It most often will result in him shutting himself in his lab for a bit of time, to calm down.
And like others, he feels like he needs to protect you because, you are so ... weak in his eyes, not in a bad way of course ! But in comparison to him you are so small and fragile. This cause Hank to usually like putting his arms around you, around you waist or on your back, to show you that he is there, and to show people around that you are his, and that they shouldn't try to hurt you in anyway.

what if sammy bryant, post learning that tammy is cheating on him and post nate dying, goes to a gay bar because even is life anymore. to be honest, he didn't know it was a gay bar, he just went to the first bar he found in the other side of town, he just wanted to have a drink or two (or get utterly wasted).
it actually took him a minute to realize it was a gay bar once he was inside, he'd expect a gay bar to be more ... flamboyant ? more gay ? but no. it took him seeing seeing three different gay couples (?) making out next to where he was sitting at the bar and getting called 'honey' and 'darling' one too many time by the (male) bartender.
well, fuck it. at least sammy was sure he'd couldn't run into anyone he knew. that's a peak he guessed. and to be honest it was .. okay. the booze was standard, the music not his thing but bar music rarely was to be frank and the vibe was chill.
that what he though until he gets hit on by you. and he just doesn't know how to answer. he just stares at you - on the one hand he is flattered, he did admittedly feel a bit insecure about himself learning that tammy cheated on him but also he wasn't too sure how he should feel about getting flirted with by a man.
he manage to answer with a strangled 'thank you man but uhm i aint gay'. in response you cock an eyebrow and look him up in down - sammy frowns, his first thought is 'I DO NOT LOOK GAY' but he tries to not take it personally - because he is in a gay bar afterall. guess it's logic for someone to assume that a dude in a gaybar is ... gay.
"didn't know this was a uhrm. gay bar. sorry." he says while looking down at his glass.
"it's okay handsome, why don't i pay you another drink ?" you wait a beat before adding "you look like you could use some more booze and company"
he let out a dry chuckle before sighing, "Is it that obvious ?"
you simply hums before flagging down the bartender to get the aforementioned drink.
"so, wanna talk ?" you flash him a smile, "don't have to of course, but you know, i'm a pretty good listener".
at first sammy thinks about deflecting, saying it's okay, saying he doesn't want to burden a stranger and that it's none of your business but maybe it's because he had a shit day - hell a shit last few weeks, that he feels terribly alone, he feels like he's drowning and because it's 11pm and he rarely do good decisions at 11pm but he kinda break.
he start talking about how he is just angry at life, and that it just terribly suck ass, that he first had to learn his girlfriend - ex girlfriend was at first pregnant then that she cheated on him (but the baby is his, so he'd have to navigate co-parenting? with tammy) and then he crashed at his partner - best friend place because he got kicked out of his own house and nearly got in like actual troubles because he tried to break in and get his shit back and then his partner was violently killed right in front of him and he just did not know how to cope with it. he did not know how to live on. and thus that why he ended up where in the hopes of drowning his sorrows in alcohol, to may be take his mind off .. everything.
he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding once he finished talking, it did feel good to be able to let it all out.
but then reality hit and he realized he just spilled his guts to a dude whose goal was most likely to get a shitty blowy in the bar's bathroom. and that you for sure did not want to hear a random dude pour his heart out.
"sorry dude you probably don't want to hear all that-" he start before getting cut off by you.
"no no it's okay, I asked for it," you said with a small laugh, "but uhm you clearly need to get it out, it's chill. are you doing better now ? at least a bit ?" your tone's a bit hesitant, but sammy can tell it's genuine.
"it did, it did ... thank you." he flashed you a small but - real - smile, he took a sip of his drink before continuing, "uhm, if I didn't totally turn you off, why don't we talk about something that isn't ... whatever I have going on with my life".
"I'd like that" you answer, trying to keep in a grin.
