i need to hear more of your nessie+jason+prime thoughts. hand em over.
okay it's 4am but this has been sitting in my ask box for five days on account of my Illness but i need to get this over with (the illness is a common cold). this got long so im putting it under the cut #yay
you put it in a good way, jason's in the middle. he's the mediator. vanessa and prime have different insecurities and experiences but they're extremely similar people, which makes them clash. a LOT.
i should note that jason's individual relationships with the other two impacts the relationship vanessa and prime have with each other. prime is a very possessive person and by the way i have this set up, he'd be more immediately attached to jason over vanessa (because he does not like seeing his own personality traits in another and jason would Be Nice (manipulative) to Him while vanessa would be more abrasive) he would probably see vanessa as someone trying to Mess Up his One Friendship. vanessa, by comparison, would be considerably less pressed but she'd assume that jason and prime would always take each other's side so she is rather cold to them until they prove otherwise.
they're very dramatic. as a trio. like so dramatic. one fall out and its catastrophic. one "how could you forget my BIRTHDAY?" and suddenly jason has to stop prime from uprooting trees and vanessa from screaming into the skies at random planes. or he doesn't stop them because he doesn't really care. it's a very unstable dynamic.
with that being said they're all three extremely loyal people. they'd come back together, the initial emotional fallout of an argument would just be disastrous for people outside of their weird group.
talking about their insecurities... they're all very messy people. vanessa's insecurities surrounds her appearance, prime's are about his moralities, and jason's are about his... i guess impact? is the word for it? hard to describe. jason would probably be the most understanding of the other two.
okay thats kinda them as a Group Together. if you wanted them like on their own as three individual characters i can yap about that too
dead parent squad. actually they're all just haunted by dead people. it's a common thing with them. don't know why. they just Are
obviously an obsession with the trinity but what i find fun is that the sense of distance for each member and their trinity member is completely different. vanessa never got to be a Real sidekick, but she's diana's sister. she was diana's best or second best connection to Man's World, and they're more equal in their dynamic than the others. jason is bruce's son, but that's the thing, a son is meant to be guided, ordered, raised. he's loved, but bruce holds power over him, even when he becomes an adult, and it's complicated. prime and superman are technically the Same Guy when they Aren't the Same Guy but they're the most distant. they actually hardly know each other. and it's extremely one sided, unlike the other two... prime idolizes him, and he... well, he's superman.
they're three very childish, naive people. vanessa's insecurities are something rooted in her since she was 13, something all 13 year old girls end up feeling at one point or another, the fear of being Ugly, but she never grew out of it. some people don't. jason has a very selfish view of the world. he thinks his methods would work under any circumstance because he trusts himself, but it's a naive way of looking at things. and prime is like a fucked up amalgamation of those two. he's insecure. he's staunch in his naive morals. and all three of them make it Other people's problems
those are some of my thoughts on a fever-riddled head and at four in the morning with no sleep. one day i'll make this again but better
