Princess saves themselves (open)
Ben glared down the tower that he was still trapped in after so long, Mab kept trying everything to get him to join him and keep up her happy family aesthetic. Ben felt like everything he’d tried just about everything to get down and frankly he was hoping that now he had a pretty decent, albeit basic idea of how to get down.
Ben had been hoarding the sheets that had been given to him every day, claiming that no one brought him any before and insisting it was fine. He’d found a wonderful way to stash them, one of the tiles on his floor was loose and he’d spent the first week or two of him being there hollowing it out to be a storage compartment…well actually at first it had been a tunnel before he realized that he was at the top of a tower and that likely wasn’t a great idea. Now it was full of sheets which he was tying off to reinforce it to hopefully hold his weight otherewise he was in for a long fall and now Ben was sure he had almost enough to at least get down to the top of the next castle spire, from there he could find a window or something to climb into right? He hoped?
Ben tied the end to the bedpost and made sure it was secure before he began lowering his homemade rope out the window carefully and saying a silent prayer to whatever god decided to listen that he made it out of this alright. Ben took a deep breath and slid out onto the windowsill glancing down at the long drop before him and he shut his eyes for a moment gathering his courage before he started his descent down his rope below him
Mab raised a brow at jane it was a tempting offer she killed two birds with one stone so to speak
“very well, you have….” Mab glanced at the clock to see the time “let’s day two hours? That’ll give you plenty of time to search the castle. But no one is to help you understand?” Mab asked her as she stood and smoothed out the skirts of her dress
Jane smiled, “agreed.” Jane hurried along making sure to take her time not wanting to find him right away but not wanting her to find him before her. She came across the library and after a few moments tapped Ben on the shoulder. “I win!”
Ben looked up and grinned shutting his book
“knew you’d find me here, how long until you think she notices?” Ben asked raising a brow at her he hadn’t heard screaming yet so there was still a chance she didn’t know
Jane grinned and took hold of Ben’s arm. “Why don’t we get everyone let her know she has lost and go home?” Jane asked him.
Ben nodded
“sounds good, I’ve been ready to go home since I got here” Ben said laughing he just wanted to have his family and life back to normal though he was certain that mab would darken his door again someday
Entering the throne ro he already saw it was torn to pieces no doubt in some kind of hissy fit of mab and he raised a brow until he saw her sitting regally in her throne as if nothing was out of place
“fine.” She bit out glaring at the two of them “you win, so leave”
“Glad we could come to an agreement finally.” Jane said noting the odd way that Mab was seemingly cool despite the appearances of the throne room. “Thank you for your graciousness your majesty.” She made a bow then started away from Mab keeping an arm around Ben. She looked at the rest of them. “We are going home. Where are the children?”
“They are out in the courtyard we can grab them on our way out,” Will smiled.
“I’ll find Harper” Ben said only for Adrienne to grab him
“I’ll get Harper you’re not going anywhere alone until we get out of the fey realm” she assured him before she started out to get Harper and the others
Jane took Will’s hand and squeezed it. “Now then let’s go grab Rohan.” All was set now onto the courtyard.
“Hello Mother!” The twins greeted her.
Jane’s brow furrowed these were not her children. “Where are they?” She turned to Mab. “Where are my children, my real children?”
Mab folded her arms over her chest trying to resist the urge to be smug
"I said you could leave, don't worry I'll take great care of the children" mab said she gave a smile and a little wave before she turned and headed back inside
"mab you can't keep them!" Ben protested quickly mab turned and glared
"she took my children why shouldn't I take hers?!"
