People walked around carrying bottles of water and snacks, ready to give them away to anyone who needed. At times, cars driving by would honk in support. Echoes of sadness, anger, fear, and determination filled the air while signs calling for reform and change were proudly on display for anyone to see. Diverse voices were amplified, originating in the heart of the crowd and reverberating into chants and applause toward the end of the block. "Black Lives Matte!." 'No Justice, No Peace!" Most people were wearing masks and kept some distance from each other, but there was an engrained feeling of unity, of connection amongst strangers that felt closer to a family gathering. There were reporters and professional cameras in the crowd but it was the people that were truly the broadcasters. Vlogs, stories, moments: they were all being shared at the push of a button; every angle framed, every speech captured and archived for the world to see again and again.
