Preparation….. Most people think I was handed a WWE contract because I was on The Real World. Funny because it took me 5 years after the Real World to get signed. Here’s the real story…as soon as I was done filming RW I moved to LA & paid a wrestling promotion (UPW) to teach me the art of professional wrestling, Ballard Brothers took me in and taught me the basics. While doing that at night, I was taking acting classes during the day to try to develop my character. I was traveling to colleges giving motivational speeches to practice my public speaking. I filmed 8 more reality shows to get used to being in front of cameras and build a fan base so someday WWE would see the value in me. All while working with a trainer and dietitian to get bigger because in my early 20s I couldn’t gain weight for the life of me. I went backstage to be background when WWE was in LA and I picked the brains of as many Superstars as I could. I watched other people/ friends I started with at UPW get contracts over me. There were times I thought no matter how much I prepared I would never get a WWE contract but I didn’t quit. I didn’t fall back. I would prepare for the next time and the next time. Did my preparation pay off? I will let u know when I’m done.
