Coxing a novice men's boat
Dear God the rush…
marks are still in my back. :)
ok but like why last10strokes why not last2strokes or something
My cox always used to count a power 10 to end a race but she always started them too early, so we ended up doing at least 2 or 3 sets of ten before we actually finished the race. It was exhausting, but a very solid sprint
Going over the rating cap during a piece
Rowing has made me into such a hard person cos whatever I have going on that I don’t wanna do it’s just “AT LEAST YOU’RE NOT DOING A 2K” and if I’m ever nervous for anything it’s just “AT LEAST IT’S NOT A 2K”
Unless it’s a 2k
When someone suggests a new but awesome boat lineup
When the whole boat is perfectly in sync
When you and your friend agree to erg at the same split, and then they pull a massive sprint
When your coach cuts the workout short because there's not enough time
a post in memory of ALL lost wrenches
we will never forget you. RIP little guys.
Passing a boat during the sprint
"Lightweights don't need to pull as hard as openweights"
Have you perfected the Olympic shove?
1.) Set the boat. When you aren’t rowing, that is your sole purpose: to set the boat.
2.) Carry the boat. The command was “up to shoulders” act like it. if you’re exceptionally short/tall, just do what you can i know it hurts i’ll try to move fast for you
3.) NEVER back talk the coxswain. …
american horror story?
more like crew horror story
You know it was a good practice when...
When you're put in a really good boat but the set is always off

Anyone looking for a hellish erg workout
try a 3 x (500m/1’ rest,1000m/2’ rest, 500m/5’ rest)
I am terrified of these numbers
