Well according to my vision Kristoph is taking Phoenix out to eat or inviting him over to cook for him so he can develop a (manipulative) friendship with him after he gets disbarred but in true toxic yaoi krisnix fashion Kris is secretly trying to fatten him up to sabotage him mean girls-style but also for his own nefarious reasons (the reason is that he is horny)

Also I think Phoenix catches on but plays along anyway because he is secretly into it too
